    Yeah, I agree Bob - there's a 10 point gap to 7th, so it's 8th we are playing for.

Is Aston going alcohol free because of the high muslim population? No drink in the away concourse and not a pub in sight. The only other dry away ground I can remember was from our Championship days at Portsmouth.
£4 for a small programme was a rip off, even though they said £1 would be donated to charity,I'd rather pick my own to contribute to,thanks.
Escort police for the buses were absolutely useless, kept us waiting until all the exit roads were blocked and then let us out at the back of the queue. This was contrary to the Burnley away game where the police whisked us straight out, blocked the other traffic, took us through all the red lights and straight on to the motorway, well done to them. The only other club who do this is good old Swansea, who close the roads to enable the away support a quick getaway.
The kid who ran onto the corner of the pitch for the goal was nearly strangled by the bully boy tactics of the over zealous stewards, and so was his mother for trying to help him.
As for the match itself,Villa played a high line and Routledge was penalised several times for off side. They tried to close us down with in your face tactics but we still should have been a few goals up by half time.
Second half was end to end and either team could have scored, but after missing a few chances Gomis scored the winner with Routledge putting Montero through with a sublime defence splitting pass for Gomis to finish well from the chipped cross. Gomis was ecstatic and his celebrations in front of the away support left us in no doubt as to his renewed commitment to the cause.

You should have gone to the Witton Arms pub right by the away end (by the roundabout) £2 to get in, and full of Jacks, all watching the Rugby and drink ah plenty.

They were selling beer in the away end concourse perhaps you had too much to notice <cheers>. As Never pointed out Witton arms 3 minute walk from the ground .West Midlands police have strange way of getting away fans away from the ground , if you think it was bad yesterday then you've never experienced the pleasure of leaving WBA , 5 minutes from the motorway but they like to take you North through the pleasant suburbs  then back on the motorway of about 3 junctions further up than when you come off .Easier to drive imo .
Sinclair for me was Villa's main threat , he tried too hard to prove a point and with a bit more composure and less selfishness then the scoreline wouldn't have looked like it did in the end .

Agree with that Boundy. WBA is a pain to get out from. Take a look at the Swans site on the gallery page, think you will be surprised with either image 3 or 4.

You are not wrong there - if we had a senior cup to go with it it could be thought of as the best finish in the top leagues since Toshak
