Why ban a genuine old school City fanatic like me, yet do nothing about the pretend City fans that infest this board? How about banning Cheshire Ben who disgracefully told me to commit suicide? Your IP shares that of a regular on the FC forum. You're a shameful rugby fan intent on souring the good name of Hull City and its fans. Cheshire Ben gave you some excellent advice and you would be wise to take him up on it for the benefit of yourself and your family. You are the reason that some real Hull City fans like Castro have a chip on their shoulder about FC.
I used to watch Clive Sullivan when he played for Hull at the boulevard. Those were the days when all three professional Hull clubs played at home on alterative Saturdays. Good servant to rugby league and he played for both clubs. There appeared to be no animosity from, FC in particular, towards Hull City, in fact I think both clubs ( and Rovers probably) went through a spell of helping each other out. I've certainly supported all three Hull teams in my youth, but I was always 'City' first and foremost. It wasn't always the case and when City shared the boulevard with Hull in our very early days the relationship quickly turned sour and City were kicked off. Sadly it all changed when sport changed from a Saturday afternoon pastime to big business. Money changed it. It was evident when both Hull RL clubs played in the Cup Final. RL's heyday in Hull coincided with City's worst days on and off the field. And how they rubbed our noses in it. FC rebranded themselves as 'Hull's Premier Club' and made a serious attempt to poach the few sponsors City had. I was one of them. It was guerrilla warfare, and it is exactly the same in Wigan, its rugby league v football, or soccer as they always refer to us as. The battle to gain the upper hand which would be great if we were on a level playing field but it clearly isn't. RL was and still is a minority regional sport and football is the national game played world wide. Yet comparisons were made that RL brings silverware to Hull, etc, and City never had. If only we had to play against about a dozen competitors along the M62 corridor!!!!! Besides the competition off the field by both sports to attract sponsors it was about that time when we first heard the term 'Hull is a rugby town' Yet all the big crowds this city has ever seen have been for football. But don't let facts get in the way of a good local myth. One particular good example of RL keeping the morale high ground at our expense was when FC, the RL and the local media blamed Hull City fans for a disgraceful pitch invasion and crowd trouble at a Hull v Leeds Rhinos cup game played at Huddersfield. Mud sticks, and they threw plenty. But you probably know all this. The battle by FC fans to limit the capacity of the KC 'because Hull City will never fill it ' Hull City subsidising every FC home game at the KC up to recently. Yet no-one is supposed to mention this. In the ideal world FC would ground share with HKR and we would have a relationship in this city similar to Leeds where the rugby and football clubs work together and not against each other. And if you don't see any evidence of a bias towards RL in the local media then you obviously do not live around here. I wish it were different.

I dont like Opera but I know the people who perform it are so talented in what they do..... Do yourself a favour and just keep it to yourself.
