That was an interesting point raised by Arsenal fan tv, let's say if Bale is available with Madrid looking to sell him and him looking to leave because of all the negativity, should we then go for him? I can't see Madrid selling him for anything less than 45 million to 50 million, would we spend that high for him? Would we want him? I think he will eventually end up at United.
If available and willing, then yes. Not only do we get a world class player, but we'd also get a world class player who used to play for Spurs but now plays for us so would be hilarious. Plus we haven't had a quality quick left footed winger since Overmars. Sanchez, Ozil and Bale... beastly. Backed up by Cazorla, Oxlade and Gnabry. Sell off Walcott to City for £20m+ where he will spend most of the rest of his career sat on the bench or in the physio room.
If he was in our budget then of course, he is one of the best in the world. But he is getting paid an insanely large amount and would command a ridiculous fee. I would happily flog Walcott and Welbeck to finance the deal, even though i like both. He is realistically on a different level to both and could easily play along the front three for us. He also has the skills to link up with Ozil, Cazorla and Sanchez and create some serious mayhem. He could also be converted to a CF. He has it all.
We could afford him, he is within our budget realm, and then if we get rid of some players, even more so, we could get rid of players like Walcott-Podolski, which automatically frees up around 200k a week in wages, and then get rid of Diaby and that's a quarter million of wages a week slashed just like that.
I would buy him in a heartbeat. He is just not suited to play in La Liga and therefore can't show everyone just how good he is. In his last season in the PL, he tore the league a new one, was unstoppable, he would also be the main man here and does not have to be Ronaldo's bitch anymore. If he is willing to come here, then we have to go for him, after all he is an Arsenal fan.
It Is certainly doable for us but the main problem will be wages. It may mean breaking our wage structure. Not sure we would want to do that considering it is keeping us financially sound. It's a shame that teams like Real are destroying football by paying silly money. That's why we need a wage cap!
Not interested personally. Doubt he'd suit our system, would cost a small fortune and would disrupt squad harmony. Could get another 2 WC (hate the term) players for the money and wages it would cost. That coveted £30m defensive midfielder for starters. The chance to p*ss of the Spuds is always appreciated mind.
I foubt hed come to us, leave real or that we'd bid for him. Still would be nice to annoy the spuds with...
Would cost £100mn (real paid 85mn for him and get their money's worth when they sell their starrs) i reckon not to mention 300k pw wages. There is no chance in hell he is coming to us. The 2 manchester clubs and PSG are the only ones who could afford him.
Forget it lads, as much as I would love to see him with you boys, it seems that Chelski are preparing a summer bid?
