Walking down Anlaby Road after Sunday's great game, I was immensely proud of our team and the atmosphere created by our supporters. But I was soon jolted back into reality as the massed crowds passed the Great Thornton Street Tower Blocks that overlook Anlaby Road. Here the crowds were met with a volley of abuse coming from around a dozen drunken chav scum in one of the flats. At the top of their Hull voices they were chanting such ditties as "Chelsea", "Hull ****ty", "City's going down" and "Hull's a Rugby Town". Why do Hull City fans have to put up with a significant amount of fellow Hull people who are openly hostile towards our Club ? I believe if you are from Hull and East Riding you should be a Hull City fan. In reality though, I do realise, because of our less than glorious history and the competition with eggchasing, this area is never going to be completely awash with Black and Amber. But what really winds me up is those charmless sickos who openly revel in us getting beat or potentially relegated. CITY OF CULTURE? YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGH!!!
Well I despise Hull FC, hope they lose every single game, get relegated, go bust and move back to Gateshead. That's exactly the same surely? COME ON SAINTS!

Why are some Hull people so soft and sensitive? I find it tends to be the puffball fans mostly. The rugby lot take their stick on the chin and get on with it.

Agreed. What we have is an inordinate number of people keen to see the worst in the place and for whom anything bad that happens is a reflection on the City as a whole.
To me some of the best people in the world live in Hull or come from Hull. No i dont include me in that far from it.
