My wee lad started at 4 and his confidence has boomed ever since. I also have another wee boy but he's only 15months so he'll have to wait a while. To me it's the difference from them sitting in playing video games or being more active and having a genuine interest in sport. It's great watching their confidence grow, ever since he started he always has a ball with him which is good as long as it dosn't affect his school work! IMO the most important thing is to let them express themselves and give nothing but praise and you'll start to notice the effects. Grass roots gives loads of advice on this even though it can be hard not to tell them what to do when on the side lines.

Sorry lads - how can the 2 mystery men be 'a top striker and a left sided midfield player' - yet one of them is Hutton? Plus how come Bruce has come out today and said that Gyan is going nowhere?

    Alreet Derry, enjoyed the vid.

How come you support us when your from Norn Iron?

I was in Belfast 4 or 5 years ago, met up with the lads from the Norn Iron SAFCSA branch in the Botanic Inn just off the Lisburn Road.

Great lads, especially Eaamon Lavery. one of his mates telt me that he followed Sunderland as his dad served owa there & married his mam & his dad was a mad SAFC lad.

Anyhow, it was a Sunday lunch time, we played Coventry, think it was first game of the season & we got beat 2-1.

    Are those lads still active?

Got some ****ing good banter on that trip in that pub.

Cracking chinkey's just down the road as well, The Fookin Fiver was the name, all meals £5.

There were lads in that bar that would gamble on who could have the longest piss, or owt else as daft.

    I miss Norn Iron.

****ing cracking lads from both sides of the divide.

    Getting all sentifuckingmental now!

The 2 mystery men are Defoe and N'zog. Have you even read the post?

Hutton was added to the thread via another source.

I am 100% convinced that the rumour is true. I have spoken to another lad tonight while out in Gods own town of Chester le Street, who confirmed that Defoe WAS definately in the NE today.

    100% guaranteed?

I'm going to bed now and look forward to seeing the SSN channel tomorrow?

Hows it hangin Chunky, I've been a fan all my life lad as my grandfather and half my family live over there, mostly Newton Aycliffe/Newcastle and are all season ticket holders. My grandfather moved over there many years ago and rared the family, probably to take them away from the troubles. My family obviously stayed and to be honest for all our faults N.Ireland is one of the nicest places to come to. I don't know much about the Belfast branch as I've never had any dealings with them but know of a few supporters here in Derry and hope the support will grow. As you know alot of the support from over here comes from the success of a club. That is why you will always get big followings for Utd/Liverpool and of course there will always be a large following for Celtic/Rangers the reasons for that are far to complex! and probably better suited to another forum. GAA has probably the biggest support in this country and I would recommend anyone to watch it as it's both exciting and as an organisation is well run for an amature outfit (all you need to do is look at the Croke Park Stadium which is testiment to this).

Chunks - a pretty twated one as we speak actually? Lol

However, just because Villa are interested in Hutton, doesnt mean we are not in pole position?

Alan loved his time up here and knows the set up.

    Believe lads? Believe?

Aye, they crackers for the gaa , thing like seen that.

You mind me asking how old you are?

Never been to Derry as a visitor but did serve there, love Belfast nowt against Derry, would like to visit just as a tourist

If my kids were grown, would go back to Belfast tomorra, if it wernt for the ****ing infighting.

Cant understand how bow communities can be so nice to me yet hate each other.

That was the reason I left Glasgow as well.

Cant stand hatred, life's far too short mate.
