The first bit I was aware of but from renter landlord is all new to me and quite shocking. Obviously from IRA I'm a little more clued up as it's more recent. Lesson appreciated mate. There's a lot to be said for, where possible, not meddling in other countries affairs.
It's a forum for debate and opinions, isn't that the whole point? It's a thread about NI and the IRA, what do you expect, a group hug ...............
Yes, of course If you're that busy it's probably best not to poke your nose into people's discussions in the first place.
It was pretty ****ed up like. As you know fine well mate, a lot of things happened, that never reached the news. Things like this make me sick. please log in to view this image We both lost good mates over there.RIP to them all.
Yes aint that the truth. I've known lads have breeze blocks put in their coffins as there wasn't enough left to scrape up to sink it. ****ing good lads too. I still feel pain for their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers & of course, their children. Somebody mentioned Bernadette Devlin - ****ing right bitch that slag as was that scum **** Miraid Farrel, the SAS sorted that cow out. Ireland was actually split in 1921 under the Lloyd-George government. Ulster has nine counties but three were sold off to the Republic, leaving NI with six. The IRA have had different factions over the years the most pro active being the provo's. That said, when that bomb killed 29 people in Omagh it was claimed by the Official IRA who were supposedly on ceasefire at the time. I wouldn't trust a taige as far as I could hoy him.
Definitely bandit country mate. Was in XMG in '88, ****ing hectic tour that was. Belfast was a breeze compared to the border.
Aye it's a strange world mate, when you think on that tour, i must have walked straight past you. I was just leaving to go on my hols and you took over from us, and about to be mortared. Crossmaglen, Forkhill, Newton Hamilton....**** holes the ****ing lot of them. Saw a army lad blown to pieces just outside XMG, was attached to us with a sniffer dog. Dog moved a tin..boom. One of my mates lost an arm in that one, about the same time when they were pulling them 2 fellas out of the car, at the funeral in belfast.
It's quite possible we have crossed paths, we must have done. I remember that funeral at Milltown cemetery, ****s.
There's a lad here who's dead fathers box has never been opened or investigated. There's people who were active at the time being told they can walk around freely. How would you feel if it was your family. What about not giving into terrorism? Interview is going live at 11:30
Do you honestly think that the decisions made at that time were done lightly? It was a terrible conflict with horrendous casualties, and if I had lost family, of course I would want to kill the people responsible..However, the fact is that the agreement made has virtually stopped the killing and saved countless more families going through the same hell as those before went through....
