I knew of his limitations before he signed but I thought he was mentally stronger than what we've seen. He's missed 3 big chances in 3 big games - Besiktas, City and United. 3 chances which he should have buried.
If it was Mings playing for England and it was an ankle injury I would expect Rooney had something to do with it. Stop trying to pretend that Rooney didn't have a snide kick at Mignolet as he caught a high ball, as he did and it's as clear as anything that he was recorded doing so.
Hoping it's a niggle and he will be OK for Arsenal. If not, then I'm sorry but we need to look at a replacement this summer, we can't rely on a striker that can only play one third of the bloody season. It's injury after injury with him.
Everyone complains that players go to the England first team and then clubs don't want them dropping to go play in European tournaments with under 21s because they play too much football.... well how about we say players don't play for the full England team until they've played under 21 football and aren't eligible anymore. Means players wont play a WC in 2014 and then The euros for under 21s in 2015.
