It was very similar to Costa on Skrtel in the same game that Costsa stamped on Can. He was punished for the stamp on Can but not for the Skrtel incident. Skrtel was running at full speed and imo didn't intend to leave the foot in, he even rects quickly and bring the foot up and hurdles him, not intentional imo.
Definitely intentional imo. He lengthened his stride to catch De Gea, when the ball was already in the keeper's gloves. Anyone who's played football will know that in that situation you can choose to go for the ball without endangering the keeper, and you know when the ball is gone and can hurdle the keeper without stamping on them. But as you say luv, it was the same as the Costa stamp on Skrtel. A frustrated and dirty player trying to use their momentum as an opportunity to get a sneaky stamp in against an opponent who had beaten them. He'll probably get away with it.
Watched the replay a few times now and in slo mo it looks intentional, at full speed less so but I'd say that there's agood chance it was intentional as was the Costa incident. Because of the doubt I don't think he'll be punished.
I've seen it again, it looks worse every-time i watch it, it looks intentional and he know's what he's doing as well.
Looked intentional to me, keeper had the ball in his hands early enough for him to atleast attempt to pull out of the way.
Because the FA did nothing about what was a carbon copy incident Costa on Skrtel surely they will be consistent and there will be no punishment.
Charged by the FA - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...stamp-on-Manchester-Uniteds-David-De-Gea.html
Think the ref saw the incident. Anyway I'm gutted Gerrard and Skrtel will be ban LFC have confirmed they are printing the t-shirts.
