Please help me out and tell me where <ok>

He regularly comes on to start rows then plays the 'I'm a decent elder statesman who demands the Mods respect' card.

When anyone doesn't agree with him the insults start flowing and he wonders why people react.

If he really believes 'this needs Minxy's attention' he must have reached the point where his braincells are committing mass suicide.

Well we will have to agree to disagree on this one mate..If forum rules are broken then it is the Mods duty to step in and take action, but this was not the case with this thread.

IMO, if anyone was out of order it was the one who started a tirade of insults including those to a poster not even involved on the thread.
Attempting to rally support by naming 'wronged' posters and threatening 'Supermods' are the actions of someone who can't manage a proper debate.

As far as I can see he's gone into one of his rages because he keeps starting arguments he always loses.

If that requires 'Minxy's attention' then why doesn't he go crying to her ...... no doubt he often does <doh>

I can't see why he's getting hysterical with you.
He tried to 'bring me down' recently but skulked away when he failed, seems like he's festering badly.
If I'm out of line I'm sure the board will say so, this 'forum enforcer' is nothing on here as far as I can see.

If Blunham, Smithy etc feel I'm abusing them they can tell me without Mr Angry jumping in to defend them.
They're big lads and never seem to hesitate to stand their ground.
If they feel I'm out of order there's a 'report' button, not a 'Relic help me, I'm begging you' button.

Tub-thumping 'decent people' who claim to 'stand for moral outrage, will always 'attract a few votes' but they're inevitably those who contribute very little and prefer to come on to whinge about others. He has a history of whining.

They're inevitably tedious and destructive to the thing they're claiming to defend.
His sort are always banging on about being decent but he'll never apologise and never admit he was wrong.
I've seen dozens like him over the years.

The post 59 on this thread, which I believe is the one you are referring to, did catch me by surprise as I thought it was totally out of character for the poster.. I have a lot of time and respect for all our mods on here, but to ask Funky to apologise, especially when he has been on the receiving end of that tirade, is in my opinion wrong. In my experience these things tend to sort themselves out in time..

Sadly typical although he's usually more snide and making vague accusations tbh.
This is his usual MO where he'll always resort to infantile insults, this ---- http://www.not606.com/threads/oh-yeah-him.290252/page-5 ----- came off the back of a previous attempt to derail a thread.

The daft thing is that I don't think, for a second, that he believed what he was saying, it was just to disguise yet another pop at me ....... pitiful for someone who claims to be 'decent & reasonable.
He claims me & Bri deliberately 'stop people posting' then, in this thread .......
......... fires off a tirade of abuse at Gordon Armstrong who hasn't posted for ages
    <laugh>

Funky is similar to me in one way, I don't mind admitting it.
I'm entirely reasonable, polite & logical .... but if someone kicks off with the insults I'll respond in kind and with both barrels.

Funky Dick, Defoe in a Row, MrRAW, &co.

Good morning all. Storm in a teacup last night - heavily fueled by some liquid stuff on my side. Funky Dick finished a post (#58?) by wondering what planet I'm on, and I rather heavily over-reacted to it. Funky Dick - my apologies. Defoe in a Row and MrRAW - thanks for both trying to keep things on an even keel.

You directly had a pop at me despite me not even being involved in the thread in any way.
You accused me of abusing Blunham & Smithy, without any proof, yet conspicuously avoid mentioning me in your post-tirade grovel.
Why do you feel entitled to speak on behalf of other respected posters?

The fact you avoid mentioning me highlights exactly the obsession you have but claim not to, well done.

How absolutely predictable and typical of the weasel of a man you are <ok>

I'm talking about Smithy. Are you talking about Relic?

I didn't wade in on that particular disagreement.

I rarely have any idea what I'm talking about <laugh>

I'll check and get back to you.

Just checked, my general point was actually aimed at Defoe In A Row mate <ok>

I wasn't involved in this thread and was wondering why a Mod would be taking sides in that way.

We seem to have come to an agreement that Watmore should be given a chance soon and also Funk suggests Mandron and or Honeyman could do as well, if not better than the under performing "stars" by fitting into the sort of formation seen starting against WH. This is good thinking in my view. Personally I think DAV will stick with experience for the derby game, and that is fine by me, but if that game does not go our way, I for one would like to see a radical change, bring in the three under 21's mentioned , lock stock and barrel, Adamson style. Go for it, get the crowd going again, and if needed, hope for a last minute SOL revival to save the club in its hour of need. Haway the Lads.

I watched the kid in a game on Sky, the lad looked very decent. Think he went off injured at the end.

The only reason I'd throw him in is to throw a curveball at the opposition. Your team are possibly too predictable at the minute, which is maybe why Dick went more direct against West Ham.

Worked well with Wickham, but like I said defenders would suss him out. It seems basic but I'd imagine it would work, how do you teach a full back to deal with a player who's barely kicked a ball at this level? It's impossible and only top full backs will deal with him, unless he's ****.

Relic's said it was a drink-fuelled rant, he's made his apologies (and yes it might have been best if he'd included you as well). Apart from trying to clarify what I'd done wrong, I kept out of it as it looked like exactly that to me and it all got very personal very quickly

I've no idea why he chose certain names inpost 59, mine included.

    Time to move on <ok>

That's the difference mate ........ I've apologised to people, including him, previously when I've been in the wrong.

What you probably don't know, why would you, is that he has history for having unjustified pops at me.

Anyway, just pleased you didn't think I've insulted or been aggressive with you ........... still time like <laugh>

Never occurred to me, but yes there's still time!

I don't pay too much attention to who does what to who on here. There are a few characters that I strongly disagree with, but life's too short to get hung up and angry with guys I'll most likely never meet.

And its the characters on here that keep this forum alive.

I'm not aware of Relic having a pop at you or anyone else. From my perspective he's just another top poster on here, like almost everyone else. And the demon drink can get us all a little twisted on here at times, me included <laugh>

My wife says I'm on here too much. There's a good reason for that. Good lads! Of every persuasion! <ok>

I tell you what fella. Don't lose my rag on here much. I'm cheeky little swine who says a lot for effect but I was genuinely fuming last night with the whole thing. The only people I give any grief to is Stu, less said the better on that and Ultimate Mackem but that's just messing about and he knows it. Both give as good as they get back. It's all tit for tat. I'm a passionate debater and mean no harm. The relic thing annoyed me but it was the Mod who waded in, got it wrong then tried to degrade me on the forum whom who's really got me goat here.

Much of what I post is to generate debate and keep the place interesting.

The clever lads know some of it's 'tongue in cheek' but there are bound to be a few clowns who get themselves all riled up.

I was in bed, as I'm currently quite ill and the West Ham weekend was hard work, so missed it all.

It's one thing for a poster, who's now admitted he was wrong and out of order, to get hysterical.

But a Mod who comes in blind, half way through a debate, needs to post as a Mod and not as another drunkard.

Just my opinion but I'm biased because I've been accused of attacking people when I'm usually just defending mesel <ok>
