All I'm saying is, I believe it's a must not lose game more than a must win and because of that, a draw wouldn't be a terrible result

    Don't agree.
A draw leaves us still 2 points ahead of Spurs & Saints and 2 behind United.
    Sisu said:
We're at home, this shower we are playing haven't put in a shift all season. If we let crab man dominate midfield, we sack our midfield ffs.I demand 3 points from this game, did I mention, the players owe us one.

We should easily beat the mancs at home. When did they ever play well away? This really should be 3 points in the bag but they've been very lucky in most of their away matches. That is why I am a bit anxious like most of us here.
    Quite right [img src="http://www.not606.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/f_ok.gif" class="mceSmilie" alt="

I would assume we are still at the top or 2nd behind Arsenal.
    Only 1 defeat in 2015.

    Never said it wasn't a free-kick - said it wasn't a yellow card - completely different argument! #clarified

The referee generally had a good game. He could have booked a lot more players though.
Balotelli should have been sent off when he ran his studs down Jones' legs and then he was wrestling with Smalling later too.
Fellaini escaped a booking in the 1st half, which would ruin a game for a guy like him.

As for the Di Maria hand ball, the guy looks useless, let him off. He clearly doesn't even know when he is on or off the pitch.

I agree in general. It was not a dirty game but felliani was let away with a few things and his warning was mad, it was i'm warning you for a succession of fouls not that's your one.

I agree di maria's handball was stupidity and it was a bookable offense.

and of course utd player kicked the ball away under his nose and he ignored it.

Not had any bearing o nthe game really as felliani calmed down totally after and a yellow or warning did same thing..

    Balotelli was stupid.

I just feel that having seen utd start like lfc should have started we were lucky to not conceed more. we only started playing after lallana got a forearm smash which was also not punished. We need to go do a lot more to get back in games quicker.

Rodgers had a poor game too.
He didn't react to utd's early dominance in the first 30 mins, yes we grew into the game for the last 15, but he needed to bring Lucas on for Allen and Gerrard for Lallana earlier.
After HT and the Gerrard knobish move, it was all gone then. Bringing Balotelli on was and always is a wrong move too.

I thought lallana getting a forearm smash (unpunished) was an ideal chance to change the game and an excuse to haul off lallana who was awful without embarrassment.

I did not think taking off allen would have done anything however i do think switching to 4 at the back with gerrard sitting thus freeing sterling and henderson to go run about like the headless chickens they are would have improved our game.

I agree on badontelly he offered zero in terms of running about. I dearly hope people just shut up about him and come may he is sold on for nothing.

Harsh on Balotelli - he 'worked hard' which is more than what we can say about Sturidge (who doesn't get half as much stick).

Our attack has been poor since Sturridge came into the attack. We were creating far more chances when Sterling was the CF because he would press high up the pitch and move about. Sturridge simply cannot do this.

We either need to get Sturridge up top with Mario, or get Sterling higher up in a central position.

Either way, we cannot go on with Sturridge as a lone striker.

Enjoyed how motd showed absolutely none of our dominance. Skipped to Matas goal and to Liverpools chance.

    Bbc salford indeed.

What a sack of ****ing ****. I can't be bothered to read it all, but I can imagine what has been said. We squandered a great opportunity there and may never get it back. I'm afraid the #tacticalgenius got it ****ing bang right. Looks like Gerrard's blown it with 8 games to go rather than to 2 last season FFS <doh>

Why are people not discussing embarrassing Phil Jones. Where was his red card?

I always fear when he gets in the England squad.

Probably because at no time should he have got a red card.

He got bookee for the one bookable offence he committed.

Unfortunately Atkinson did everything he could to give Liverpool a chance. Refused to book Mignolet and award a first half penalty, didnt send off Balotelli for two yellows, didnt send off Skrtel and didnt gove Allen a second yellow.

Wasnt the worst referring performance but he quite clearly and obviously favoured the home side.

Jones had clumsy challenge after clumsy challenge. He's just a clumsy player. Easily 2 yellows for him yesterday.

    -

I think Rodgers bringing on Gerrard yesterday was a poor tactical move any way. I bet he only brought him on because Gerrard had a moan about Allen.

It should have gone like this:

Gerrard: ****ing hell boss, no one is tackling in our midfield, we are getting over run, you need to get on some one who can tackle in that midfield.

Rodgers: Your right Steven, I'll bring on Lucas.

If he'd brought on, or even better started with Lucas we may have won the game.
