Haven't they got a ban on transfers after their appeal failed?

They can buy players. But they can not join them until 2016.

I remember watching Matt Ritchie for Swindon and thinking he was good.

It has been reported on other more known sports news sites. For example: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-ponder-move-micah-richards-5379234

Probably the most interesting bit is that they IF Saints lose Clyne, and not WHEN.

Yeah, I suspect we could make him a better player. We invariably do improve players when they come to us. At Man City he had an injury issue which seems to have sorted itself out. He has pace, isn't as good as Clyne, but he wasn't picked for England because there were a dearth of RBs at the time. He was OK. Better back then than Kyle Walker is now, shall we say..? He was just one of the first players who got the goodies too young and went backwards. Are you taking notice of his example Luke and Calum..?

Fed up with Neville saying that the Gerrard stamp was down to passion. Passion is when you are reckless trying to get the ball, but Gerrard had already cleared the ball when he decided to stamp dangerously on the ankle of someone on the ground. He;d only just come on, so not as if he had been involved in loads of niggles and got wound up. OK, he apologised immediately, but don't palm it off as just someone who loves his side and wants to win. It was nasty.

Apparently he hasn't apologised to the player [Herrera?] who didn't even touch him.

I can't see us going for him. 1) He is on far too much money. 2) He isn't as good as he was.

Richards? Rather have Byram or Trippier and would cost so much less in wages and would see them try to prove their worth like most of team,
Richards is more of a big time Charlie and way too expensive for his ability

I think Saints could save a shedload of cash on the black box by following one simple rule with their signings. Don't sign anyone with a stupid haircut. Whether a dye job or mohican, simply ignore those players. Sure, we may miss a few good players, but will miss almost every dud signing going. And I include Tiote in this inaugural player rejection policy.
