Calm doon beelbot, are you now denying having claimed to have watched Rangers ....to see how ****e they were?
Newcastle play decent football when they are lucky enough to have 11 players if they haven't been sold/loaned/suspended
I'll maybe give Archer's Palace but it's hardly "attractive" football to lump it to some fast black guys on the flanks and let them run with it. Tactically the EPL is on par with the SPFL or Swedish fitba. Currently light-years behind the Spanish & Germans.
I've been looking fearfully over my metaphorical shoulder since the man who would be King ascended the marble staircase. Can you smell my fear?
Agree. I am not really entitled to an opinion but if you support a Premier League team I suppose it's exciting enough as most of the teams at the top have the odd blip here and there and the derby games do have a decent enough atmosphere - it is hyped appallingly though which doesn't help when games are poor. Still, it's all down to what you're used to I suppose. If you watched any league week in week out I suspect there'd be a fair number of dull matches. Personally, am happy enough with the championship and with my team and would guess most people that watch their teams on a regular basis are relatively satsified - if they're not then they shouldn't be going. I also don't really see the need for slating leagues of other countries. Doubtless the people that attend matches quite enjoy them and that's all that really matters - apart from morons who want to play musical instruments rather tahn watch the bloody game but that's a separate issue..
Brother has moved to the big ****hole that is London and went to see Wimbledon vs Portsmouth. Just read an email with him beelin' about trying to watch the game for 90 minutes with that spastic brass band playing non stop. Said it was an alright game - was even scooping pints, so he was.
Indeed Dan, I never slag off other countries' leagues because I really don't watch enough to be able to judge how good bad or indifferent they are.
I was mainly just being a dick. In all honesty I actually agree with Trev that the quality in the top teams has gone down all over Europe. Teams either play that awful brand of Mourinho counter-attacking football or Guardiola and his aimless passing. At least at Barca he had Messi so they were decent to watch. Bayern is like watching a training exercise of keep ball.
It always goes that way though - teams either work out how to play against the sides of the moment or said sides start to lose a few players and go off the boil. England won't be at the races again until one of the big teams starts bringing through more of its own players (whether they be homegrown or young overseas players who have the ethos of the club drilled into them and can accept it). I'd struggle to think of a "bought" team that has had the impact of the Barcelona or Bayern sides of recent years.
****in hell.. it's got all very palsy walsy in last few posts. Last few pages have been cerebral palsy ...
