You're entitled to your opinion but if you put **** like that you'll get called on it. A few passes went astray but you know what i saw Costa pass into touch and Fabregas, one of the best passers in the league, hit some poor passes. How anyone can slate the ten outfield players and subs is beyond me.
I thought he had one of the better games of his season. He looks a bit out of his depth occasionally but what he lacks there he more than makes up for with bottle and in a game like yesterday plenty of that was needed.
Couldn't agree more, he had a decent 20 minute spell, but he gave the ball away at least 3 times in the space of the opening 10 minutes, also at times he could of picked out N'Doye/Elmo/Robertson with a forward pass he turned and passed it sideways or behind him, in true Meyler fashion. He's out of his depth, however he did graft and put a few tackles in, he wasn't awful, but below average I'd say.
Great team performance -they play so much better when Brucie lets them push forward rather than telling Elmo to stop at the half way line best three were N'Doye - great hold up play, Robertson and Elmo - caused panic down the wings, pity final ball from Elmo let him down sometimes but great goal - good mentions for McShane. and Ramirez, one of Juniors better games but hopelessly at fault for the first goal - Meyler was inconsistent - passing at times was hopeless especially the two that went straight into touch and the one that the second goal came from - glad Brucie changed the back line and played Macca where he should be on the right and Dawson in the centre - cant see us going down if we play like that each week
People blaming McGregor for the 3rd goal really need to watch it again. N'Doye, Robertson and Livermore are pedestrian and lazy on the wing, they don't chase down the ball and don't track the runners. Then when the ball come in Dawson doesn't deal with it and lets Remy get a shot away. Then its a poor attempt at a save from McGregor granted, but to single him out when nearly half the team made mistakes for that goal is harsh. Also does Robinson just have to show up to get in peoples top 3? 1. Gaston 2. McShane 3. Livermore
Mistakes or good play from Chelsea? At times they passed round us like we weren't there, you can't expect them all to close down and harass them for so long without getting tired, we were asleep and they pounced. However McGregor should of done better, end of.
They were mistakes, Chelsea didn't have to do anything special to get that ball in the box, our players were lazy in that instance.
N'Doye Gaston Hernandez Hard to chose as all apart from McGregor who had little to do apart from pick the ball out of the net, were excellent. N'Doye is a steal at the price we paid, credit to SB for chasing for his signature. Get Diame back to full fitness, I think we will have enough to get us over the line.
I've come to a decision Gaston Ramirez Dame N'Doye Jake Livermore David Meyler Andrew Robertson Ahmed Elmohamady Paul McShane Abel Hernandez Alex Bruce
No. Robinson(sic) just has to battle past 3 world class defenders, chase the ball down at flat out pace, and then pull the ball back onto Elmo's toe to blast past a world class keeper ( yes he also made a poor mistake + 3 great saves in 10 seconds)
Well thanks for allowing an opinion other than yours. Sorry it wasn't to your taste. He had a poor game. Fact.
