Pisses me off this show!! We have 19 shots and play some great stuff and all they show is 6 of our efforts!! Anybody who didn't see the game would think it was an even game.
I won't slate him because he has been our best keeper for some time but have to admit he has cost us a few times this season with some poor handling and shot stopping. Definately a priority next season is at the very least a decent number 2 to give h some competition or ideally a new number 1! What about vorm at Spurs?? Sat on the bench and will never take lloris place.
I found their winning goal very frustrating. Why any City fan would laugh so hard he wets himself in reaction to McGregor's efforts is beyond me.
Because i am tired of crying for him. To say he is our best keeper is harsh on Harper & Jakupovic, Vorm would be a good move or jack butland, defo a defo a new keeper next season, im quite frankly sick of McGregor now
I agree he's dropped a couple of bollocks this season, but he's pulled off far more saves than he has made mistakes. At least ten times more. The one against Man City was class and he made two very good ones against Sunderland. It's always the same when people slate goalkeepers, it's easy to remember the mistakes but if you stop and think for a second, you'll realise he's probably gained us more points than he's cost us. If we need a new keeper, which I think Brucey will be after given Harper's retirement, we should look nowhere else other than the Bundesliga: Timo Horn (Koln), Yann Sommer (Borrusia Monchengladbach), Oliver Baumann (Hoffenheim), Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover 96), Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen)... They're all quality goalkeepers, they're all pretty young and have their best years ahead of them (the age thing isn't an issue, it's a coincidence but it highlights the quality of German based goalkeepers). They'd probably command a bit of wedge but they'd be well worth it in my opinion.
I really don't like to be critical of our players, but McGregor costs us more points than necessary. That third goal for Chelsea should have been saved by most goalkeepers keeping goal at any professional level, it was woeful. Now I don't know if he has concentration issues. But quite often this season I find myself thinking about goals scored against us, then thinking a PL keeper shouldn't be getting beaten that easily. Plus we have conceded more goals from outside the 18 yard area than any other team in the PL. The team has improved in the last 2 seasons in all areas except goalkeeper. It must be addressed in the summer.
