Wish I was going... one of my cousins-in-law was one of the ones who built the new stadium and he said it's incredible. Saw Quakes vs. Chicago a few years ago, maybe 2008 or 2009? Brian McBride scored an amazing goal for Chicago, I said out loud something to the effect of, "What a goal," and the guy in front of me threatened to fight me for being a Fire fan. I laughed at him. Good times. I see the Quakes riding the home crowd and my boy Wondo with another brace! 3-1 SJ. And the Timbers will finally stop with the draws tomorrow and win 2-0.
I think they will beat Chicago to. Ill say SJ 2 - 1 Chicago. The new SJ keeper doesnt look very good though so it wouldnt surprise me if they give up more than one goal.

I heard they put in early warning earthquake sensors in the stadium. It's a smart thing to do and I am a little surprised other stadiums around here haven't done that.
Probably not. Been out tonight and need to be up early tomorrow. Might watch it, will decide when it comes round.
goal SJ the chicago goalie is that goalie that went on trial with us a couple months back, Sean Johnson
An away win to Philly means FC Dallas has captured all 9 points from their first three matches. Woo-hoo! Too bad I'll be out of town next weekend for the Seattle match.
There doing good. SJ are up 2-1 at the half, so far the only team they have lost to are Dallas so they might also be a team to take seriously.

Just watched SJ vs Chicago on DVR... the new stadium looks pretty nice. I'll be going April 11 vs Vancouver, looking forward to checking out that outdoor bar especially. Portland vs. Sporting KC was boring, Timbers were able to string together some nice sequences but no end product. Not a very exciting weekend all round MLS, actually.
So many people were at the bar at the SJ stadium that sections looked only partially filled even though the stadium was at max capacity.
Portland are missing Johnson and Valeri, two influential goal-scoring midfielders...Nagbe seems too inconsistent to carry the team goals wise, although Adi might step up.They look a lot better defensively that last year though. That San Jose stadium does look very nice......
They can't put one in the KC because if there's not a Tom Huddlestone running about causing seismic echoes then theres usually a sumo Hesford (r.i.p) or similar. The Americans on here might be interested to know that Hull and the surrounding area did have a little earthquake about five years ago, it was enough to wake people up in the night but nothing more
I'm sure hullman has been through a lot more of them than I have but I've felt 2 pretty good ones. The last good sized one was centered just a couple miles away from me at lassen volcano right before I moved to this farm and after I went out to see if my Harley was still standing. I went through the big one in DC about 4 or 5 years ago I think and lots of things fell over, about every chimney in alexandria where I lived and these huge cracks appeared on our apartment building.
The Loma Prieta quake in 1989, I was seven years old with the World Series pre game show on TV and I looked out the window and literally saw waves rolling in the street. Felt the quake a second later. That was a nice little shake.
