N'doye Gaston Robbo Only Dawson and Greegsy disappointed, despite some dodgy shots and passes early on Meyler was instrumental in our much improved passing game in the midfield. McShane did remarkably well when moved to RB but I still feel much more comfortable with Rosie in there. I don't know how D'doye hasn't been picked up before the age he's at, his touch is sublime.
What's with the comments about McGregor ? Dawson backed off on their first 2 goals and McGregor had no chance with 2 perfectly placed shots. The third goal, Dawson was no where near his man, who blasted it against the bottom of Mac's legs, the force being so much it trickled over the line. IMO he can't be blamed for any of their goals. Except for Dawson's 3 weak moments, everyone played out of their skins today, especially N'Doye, Elmo & Robertson, but you've gotta give credit to the whole gang - best team effort of the whole season.
Agree with this , Dawson was backing off too much and cost us 2 goals, yet you get the dumdums on here blaming Mcgregor for the defeat. I wouldn't even have a go at Dawson even though he made the mistakes as the lad will know where he went wrong
Ramirez N'Doye Livermore The third one could be any of half a dozen. I can't believe anyone doesn't have Gaston in their top three.
Robertson Gaston N'Doye Great effort all round. We need to keep to that standard for the rest of the season.
I'm just pointing out the misdirected blame on Mac instead of Daws. He will know he made the mistakes agreed, but should have rectified it before their second goal. **** happens..he's played well recently. Better to get em out of his system against a team we were unlikely to get anything from (although we nearly did) rather than against a team where it would really hurt...e.g. Burnley in a few weeks.
I suggested a Wooden Spoon award, earlier in the season, and I got shouted down by some ****s on here. Either McG or Meyler!
1. N'Doye 2. Robertson 3. AB for his strength and his tackles. another notable mention to Elmo, his crosses were class.
He really didn't at all... gave it away more frequently than he actually made a pass... his ratio was 50/50 at best.
maybe his game got better but his fault for one of the goals stuck in my mind, that is why I didn't have a high opinion of him.
On a similar note, Quinn looked good once he came on. I'd start him ahead of Meyler for the next game and sub Meyler on if required. Assuming Diame is still out that is.
