Which is why I'm against it. May get decisions right, but at the cost of sucking all the enjoyment out of the game. And it was noticeable that the studio pundits still had different opinions.
Torn here....doubt England can do it, so have turned over to Murray...but then he probably can't do it either
I dunno, there isn't much enjoyment in losing a game due to a penalty that should never have been given
But there's no excitement if everyone pauses and does a Sudoku whilst they take 10 looks at every try and then the decision still isn't 100%. And the official looking at the video screen got involved in a midfield decision which the ref in the middle should have called. You cannot have everything perfect...I'd rather watch an exciting game and trust to the officials.
It was a good win, but Wales and Ireland both had big scores. Always hard to chase a score, rather than just a win.
Oh come on TSS. I hardly said anything to him. If he wants to post soppy stuff out in public then I assume he's prepared to take what comes back. If not he shouldn't post it. I'll ignore your suggestion. I don't abuse him.
Cant see anything wrong with FLT replying to PL's soppy posts re his personal life, he continually puts these banal ( imo ) posts on here so must be expecting a response. I have just returned from abroad working and not been on here for almost 2 months and PL's posts on this subject are the same now as they were before, so its no wonder a mature chap such a FLT gets fed up with them and tells him to grow up !
I was at a meeting this morning (a terrific non-religious get together on a Sunday morning once a month held in Southampton. PM me if you want to come along). Someone was discussing how they knew people who had a dozen self-help books but never implemented any of the suggestions or advice contained within. I immediately thought of PL and mentioned him. He's a classic case. Asks and asks for advice and, when given ways to change, says, "No, I couldn't do that". The problem is that we're all (well some of you lot, maybe) pretty intelligent, so we notice the pattern. What then sets in is a gentle British ribbing where, instead of giving advice that we know will never be followed, we point out the repetitiveness of the requests. One day PL will take control of his life and will not have to come on here for validation of his refusal to take responsibility for what happens around him. Until then, the ribbing will never stop. Vin
If PL were to say that stuff in the pub (or at a pretend Quidditch game), he'd be rightfully destroyed for it.
There was a time on this forum when we used to say how brilliant it was [and it still is OK]. Everyone respected everyone else and the banter was gentle most of the time. We also said that we never wanted to lose that respect for other posters, because that what was made us different to other forums. The banter remained humorous and well intentioned. So you'll forgive me if all I am trying to do is maintain that old aim. But I agree, PL certainly doesn't help his case in becoming a target. Personally, I'd wish he'd just leave it so that we can just enjoy the fact that we have a resident Pompey supporter on our forum who can come and go as he pleases and with good humour and wishes. Pretty much unique, I'd say.
