I enjoyed that game, not because of being a UTD fan, but it was entertaining for a Big match

Our diamond was very good last season but useless this season.

Teams figure other teams out. It happens.

Not saying that Rodgers has to reinvent the wheel but he has to change something be it personnel or slight tweaks. We've been poor in the last few games - personally I think he's asking full backs to sit too deep when they should be further forward.

  5. We have got more to do but just dismissing what we have done is as bad as believing the hype

I don't think it's a case of teams figuring out the diamond but we don't have 2 brilliant forwards who compliment each other really well like we did in Suarez/Sturridge last year.

The formation has been working... we've all said it's not one we can see us doing long term as it has it's flaws but for all the time it was working it made sense. If we get another top class forward to partner Sturridge (he needs a partner as he can't play upfront on his own in my opinion) then we may revert back to the diamond that worked so well last year.

Problem then is, what do you do with Stelring/Coutinho? Both are best in that 10 position behind the front 2.

  8. Because like Felliani, he has a reputation for it and gets away with it. Why this is the case for some players when others such as Suarez get the opposite treatment is beyond me though

Nope, unlike the non-LFC fans on this board, we can still have an actual cup final

You're looking good for your #nonuple though <ok>

  10. They weren't playing as FBs earlier in the season, they were wide midfielder. Is slowly changed from 343 to 523

Sterling is best in the number 10.

Coutinho is best as a number 8 who sits in midfield.

I agree - something has sparked him into changing it to that. It makes nonsense. The game against Swansea is an example of how having both wing backs higher up benefits the whole team.

His system has been found out. We are as poor if not worse than we were at old Trafford. And it has been like that for the last few matches.

Van Gaal has already played against Rodgers 3 times and all these 3 times he's owned him. I can't see Rodgers recovering from this psychological damage.

Considering Van Gaal will probably only manage another 2 or fewer games against us that's not a problem

Given that you've just spunked your chances of CL next season and KKK got the boot for the same result despite 2 finals and a pot, I think you taking a pot shot at Van Gaals likely tenure at United is ****ing idiotic

You still going on about Rodgers out? Remind me, is that still before or after Martinez?

BTW your team is playing but you wouldn't be interested in that #plastic <ok>

What I still cannot work out is why we didn't play a more pressing aggressive game. We just let them have total control of the game. They nearly had 70% (!) of the first 30 minutes. We needed to get more control rather than sit back. We got away with it in Swansea but Rodgers was deluded if he thought we could against the mancs.
