No brainer alright...it won't happen. Even if possible...there is a rift and Boruc is happy at Bournemouth. Do you really want a miffed Boruc instead of a committed SKD? The problem is if Davis gets injured, but that's life. Our defence is very good and it is near the end of the season now.
personally I'd feel bad to pull Boruc out of Bournemouth when they are so close to joining us in the premiership. Super Kelv has been training all year with the 1st team and having Forster there may have actually improved his game. 38 ain't that old for a goalie.
Have no idea how the team feel about Boruc, but I bet we can guess how they feel about Kelvin. Team spirit is high...they will support SKD and him them...why introduce an unknown factor.
Bournemouth Echo have said there is no recall option for Boruc. I have a vague memory of this being brought up a long time ago with Koeman and he said then that we had enough keepers. And something about it being insulting to the ones who train week in and week out if you bring someone else in. Must have been before the January window because we were all whimpering about needing a new keeper.
If I believed any more than I do now you could sell me a religion under my nose and I wouldn't notice..!
Doubt it....remember how enjoyable it is to be in a team gaining promotion. He's probably having a great time.
If we can carry on scoring first, I have confidence that we will win quite a few more points. I take confidence from Spurs and Arsenal both wobbling, after going 2 goals clear, yesterday, and almost throwing it away. Despite the win at Anfield, Manure still look ropey at the back, and are likely to lose against a team they shouldn't. And Liverpool. Well I hope Stevie G's sending off is the first step towards them blowing it, as last season.
Whatever happens it has been a great season and hopefully we get plenty of wins and most importantly avoid defeat against Spurs. With regards ti Davis, he deserves his chance - he has waited patiently and been a loyal servant to the club and therefore even if he makes a mistake that costs us I will not be distraught; after all Foster and Boruc have also made a few. I think Adkins destroyed Davis' confidence by dropping him after the 6-1 Arsenal defeat (I think some of the players said it affected Kelvin) and maybe under Koeman he will come back stronger and more confident like a lot of our players - it is easier to come into a winning team.
Ralph targeted being 'best of the rest' - so if we're not going to be playing Champions League with the mega-rich clubs, let's finish 5th!
Sorry, I have lost track of which position will give us European football. If arsenal play Liverpool in the fa cup final and they both finish above us does that give another European spot. Is 6th going to be good enough ?
