Still think Russ has had a wobble these last few games. Whits seems to be great for 3 games then rubbish for 1 or 2. Think that applies to the majority of our squad though!

Perhaps it's selective memory on my part then, he is outstanding in this league .

Can't help thinking our back four would get totally murdered in the EPL. Some deep thought needed!

Humble apologies for the multiple posts earlier. The Internet here is not easy. But 'Football for Peace' is a really good project, giving lads and lasses here and in other parts of Africa and Asia a chance to mix with like minded people from all over the world who care about football as a way forward to develop understanding and oneness. I can't give any links but I'm sure you can find them if you look. Worthy of support for sure.

With Ben Foster ruled out for 6 months and no other goalkeeper in the England squad for the upcoming international fixtures, might Ruddy get a call?

Green and Butland are in. Ruddy completely out of the picture now it seems.

Yep, looked at it more and just seen that. I really don't get the love for Butland that the England setup have, he's really nothing special.

I don't get the love for Butland either. He's just a back up for Begović at Stoke, plays in cup games, nothing in the league.

If he was that good, he'd be number one somewhere, like Forster. Give me Ruddy any day.

I think even Heaton of Burnley is above JR in the current pecking order

I think we're spoilt for choice regarding POTS, and that's a nice position to be in. I'd like to see it go to Jonno, Whits or Tetty as they have all been instrumental this season.

    Whittaker for pots???????

I'll have a half of what you're drinking punctured as I suspect a full pint may put me onto a different plane of reality.

For me coin flip between tettey and Johnson. Jerome also deserving but you could equally make a case for wes.

None of our back five merit a place on the podium.

Have to agree norfolkbhoy and I have already cast my vote. None of our defenders are deserving of it!!!!

Just watched the FLS and in IMO, at least 2 results were heavily influenced by poor refereeing.
The Wolves defender who pulled Bent back, should have been sent off and/or the referee should have played advantage.
The 2nd Bournemouth penalty should never have been awarded. <doh>

As for POTS, I think BJ and Tettey are both very deserving, as is Wes but he hasn't as many appearances. I still keep coming back to where we would be without Jerome's 18 goals.

BJ every day of the week.

Where we would be without this goals, his defending, etc, I dread to think. He remains slightly un cultured which doesn't endear him to the football purist, and I have sympathy for that, but his contribution to the team IMO goes so far beyond a few neat triangle passes that he is simply head and shoulders above the others in our team

Worthy contenders indeed, Bradders and Jerome, with Wes not too far behind.
A far cry from last year - when Snoddy got it by default...simply because everyone else was total gash under Hootun <laugh>

I suspect so. I have never heard anyone outside the 'mob' use the term 'gash' under similar circumstances
