Nugent didn't make a challenge there, harsh pen. Rose was looking for it.

Mind you I'm not convinced Morgans goal should even have been a corner. Looked like Nugent put it straight over.

Those are normally given as pens. Ergo it was a penalty.

Pearson calling someone else arrogant <laugh> Pot. Kettle. Black. ****.

They're given too often. An attacker should be trying to score, not trying to nick the ball away and go down.

It was a very soft penalty, if that was us we would of been moaning. Bentaleb surely should of been sent off?

I can see why Pearson was annoyed, doesn't make what he said right. The reason they will go down is due to the ref in that game, its because they aren't good enough.

Again it happens too often so we're used to it. Ulloa was pushing and putting his head in, then recoiled trying to get Bentaleb sent off when he raised a hand. They both could have gone, but what would it have achieved?

    Neil Swarbick with another shocker.

Though at least he had the balls to admit his error.

    Cheers Quill. Good to see.

Looked like another dive from Boydy there. Exactly the same as the one against Hunter last year.

No one gets a dodgy penalty away at Stoke. Except for Palace of course. Their penalty record compared to ours is just ridiculous.

They've had 5 this season, only Arsenal and Man City have had more.

Last season only 3 teams had more pens than them as well.

In the promotion season they had 16, we had 4.

Going slightly further back, in the Prem in 2004/05, they had 12 penalties - the nearest team to them had 5.

Since our very first Prem season:

    Palace
    14/15: 5 pens, 3rd
    13/14: 6 pens, 4th
    12/13: 16 pens, 1st
    11/12: 9 pens, joint 2nd
    10/11: 7 pens, joint 4th
    09/10: 3 pens, joint 8th
    08/09: 4 pens, joint 7th
    Total - 50 pens

    Hull City
    14/15: 1 pen, joint least
    13/14: 3 pens, joint 6th
    12/13: 4 pens, joint 9th
    11/12: 3 pens, joint 8th
    10/11: 5 pens, joint 6th
    09/10: 8 pens, joint 3rd
    08/09: 3 pens, joint 5th
    Total - 27 pens

Most teams bar the big ones seem to have around the same number as us, which means Palace get around double the average.

That goal from Arter was class. They've got some great players, hope they come up.

    I hope Bournemouth come up.

From a geographical standpoint it would be a bit annoying though. From that point of view I'd prefer Boro.

In terms of the clubs though, Bournemouth would be the best one.

If Bournemouth (or whoever) come up as champions they’ll be guaranteed to at least finish mid table in the Premier League – at least.

Probably be kicking on for Europe.

Derby lost again. I hate them, I really do.

Some quality stuff in the rest of Yorkshire today.

Rotherham 1-0 up after 86' managed to lose 3-2 (even more impressive than us throwing away the league cup game at WBA). Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells (who many wanted us to sign) managed to miss two pens.

I didn't see MOTD. Were Sunderland any better than under Poyet?

I watched the whole of the first half and they did look more lively and Wickham looked a bit of a threat when partnered with Defoe - still not great though.
