Just seen that. I'll never be completely comfortable with Green between the sticks but there's no denying the guy has upped his game this year. Well done Robert
Delighted for him personally. I hear some fans calling for him to be QPR player of the year. How can you be considered POTY when you are a member of the worse defence in the league?
First QPR player since Sinclair in 1995 to be called up? Long time coming! Thoroughly deserved - he has been superb for us overall - although in recent weeks I would point to a few errors that have led to goals though.
Yep. Good answer. Can we honestly vote a member of the worst defence in the league as our POTY? POTY has to be Charlie........surely?
Because you are the goalkeeper behind the worst defence in the league. Charlie and Rob - front and back ..... It's the rest that's missing
Agreed! Rob Green and Austin make for a good back and front of the needed spine. It's been the two centre backs and central mid-fielders that have prevented us having that all important spine necessary for a successful team.
Good for Rob Green, would have been nice to see Charlie also considered, but Kane is the one in super hot form right now. Considering our difficult battle to stave off relegation, perhaps this would have been an unnecessary distraction for him and always the risk of injury with extra games played, although with us this seems to happen on the training ground. Hopefully down the road Charlie's time will come. I wonder if Roy with be at Loftus Road to see his #2 keeper in action? I see Butland is also added to the squad.
Without his great form this season we'd probably be down already, he still has a lot of world class saves to make to give us any chance as the stiffs in front of him are a waste of space...
Wow, just saw this on the official. What a story, the rise fall and rise of rob green. What a bloke. He's a man with good character. I wonder if he'd have to leave us if we get promotion in order to stay in contention for England?
Green has grown on me over the last couple of seasons and I'm pleased for him. I still really rate McCarthy and worry that we'll end up flogging him on the cheap if he doesn't get his chance soon.
