1. It was Ryan, not Toby. 2. FFS - the poor fella has most likely just received a shocking injury and you want to lay into him.... Sort yourself out mate. 3. What is this magical "standard expected" - did you ever see Peter Shilton play? Never left his line, but at his peak he was considered the best keeper in the world.
Well, I was especially pee'd off with JayRod. Not for his injury, but for the all-a-round news that he seemed to want to leave at the earliest opportunity. Now I hear from the chap I know who lives in Staplewood that he asked JayRod for his autograph after he came back from Switzerland and came straight out and asked if he intended to leave, and JayRod apparently said he had no intention of doing so. Make of that what you will.
After listening to kelvins interview he alluded to Frazer having played through a couple of injuries , makes me wonder whether this contributes to his hesitation coming for the ball at times ?
might have mentioned it - took my dad for his 79th Birthday, he picked Long as first goal scorer at 4/1 = Nice
I was at the wrong end - what actually happened to Fraser? I was watching the ball and then I saw Fraser on the floor. Did he do it when he kicked the ball? I'm just waiting for the news he's done his ACL.
All very valid points. All I am saying is that if Fraser had, as Toby demanded come for the ball, nothing would have happened, no injury nothing. He is a good keeper but he just lacks that "bottle" to to be a commander and not just a regular I just hope he can find what's lacking and then he will be one of the best Two weeks training with the SAS should sort him out!!!!!
I was just at the right angle to view it, but I'll need to see the TV replay. SIR the Party is probably about right a few posts back. Simple back pass; took a touch and then went to clear it. The picture in my mind is that Vokes wasn't really that threatening and Fraser cleared it before Vokes got there. I think Fraser slipped and then collided into Vikes but I would guess his knee went just as he kicked it.
It should have been a penalty for sure. I expected Fonte to make that tackle, given their positioning. So to me, it looked like Fonte caught the ball, and then Boyd tripped over the ball and I just assumed that was the case. In fact Boyd made a great cutback dribble and Fonte caught Boyd's foot. In the replay you can see it clearly, but I don't blame the ref for missing that in real time.
It is possible that if Boyd had just dropped down flat he would got it, but the Tom Daley approach may have swung the Referee into thinking it was simulation, easy to appreciate why it wasn't given, as many similar ones have been.
