Our so called defence is not fit for purpose. We have conceded a ridiculous amount of goals for a team with European aspiration. This is just Leicester, imagine what a top European side would do to that bunch of clowns!...
4-3, FT. What a shambles of a performance. Good to see Kane get a hat-trick, but we had so many poor players out there today that it's hard to see how we won. Bit of a break now for internationals, but I'll be very pissed off if this XI's picked for our next game.
Phew! We managed to limp across the line against relegation certainties, Leicester City! Thank you, Mr Levy, for bringing the beautiful game to the Lane!
Lloris; Yedlin, Chiriches, Fazio, Davies; Stambouli, Paulinho; Lamela, Eriksen, Dembele; Kane for the next game? I'm only half joking.
After yet another iffy display., I'm now not sure if Spurs have enough good players for a top six finish. Spurs certainly don't have sufficient hard players., We seem to have become a team full of soft pussies.
Harsh on Vorm. He couldn't be blamed for the shambles in front of him and he did make a great save in the 1st Half from Nugent. The defence as a unit is not good enough and while it doesn't help having to full backs who go missing, I think Vertonghen needs to step up to the plate as a supposedly experienced international. He shows no leadership whatsoever. And how Chadli stayed on is beyond me...... His only positive contribution in 93 minutes was one pass to Kane.
So as I was saying.....did I mention they'd be a valiant effort after going behind, bizarre own goal but no points. Sometimes it's really annoying being right
Paulinho made a positive impact when he came on - not something you hear often - and probably deserves a game or two. We are looking tired in midfield.
To be fair, though, Levy could have thrown himself on, and he would probably have made an improvement1
And we told you we'd do our best to totally **** it up! You lot must be thoroughly sick of Harry Kane now, eh?
I think that Rose did ok, especially as Chadli kept ballsing it up in front of him, but the rest of the back four were very poor. Dier might be able to blame his head injury, as he was ok up to that point, but Vertonghen and Walker were awful. Vorm stayed on his line far too much and failed to communicate enough, so I hope Lloris isn't out long. We need to sort out the balance in front of the defence, too. Might be an idea to push Mason further forward and stick someone else alongside Bentaleb.
Our defence? What! you mean Rose I think we need to bring on some players to help him. I think I'd rather see Walker played as a forward he seems to have little idea about defence and Vertonghen??? what happened to him?
I shot an arrow into the air, where it fell I know not where! This is what you have to do.Talk nonsense to your self whenever our defence are in "action". It stops you going insane.......or is too late??????
Incredible game today, we could have quite easily have won, should have got a draw but we lost. Fine margins That pretty much sums our season up though. Not quite sure whats happened to Harry Kane. He was a complete donkey for us, done sod all at Norwich and now the best striker in the league!
Eventful day down the Lane to say the least! Both teams clearly forgot how to defend, Vertonghen was poor and Walker was absolutely dreadful while Dier didn't look too great either. Chadli looked poor as well, he's not been the same since his injury and the passing of his Father (a more than justifiable reason for anyone to lose form), we might not see him back to his best until the new season where he's had substantial time off to truly mourn his loss and try and move on. Positives - Harry... Don't really need to praise him much, all of what I can say has already been said countless times over the past 6 or so months, what a season he's having, it was quite funny when he scored his first as the Leicester fans had just started singing a song about him and midway through he gets the tap-in from the corner. Despite being part of a defence that conceded 3, I thought Rose had a good game again, although I sit in Park Lane his last ditch tackle in the first half looked fantastic. Eriksen looked a bit more livelier today, still weren't at his best but he wasn't as anonymous as he has been in recent weeks. Couldn't see whether it was or wasn't a penalty as again, it happened down the Paxton End but my Cousin (who's eyesight is far greater than mine) thought it was a lucky call for us but couldn't be sure so I'll wait and see it on MOTD tonight. 3 points is what we needed but I think we'll also be needing a new defence come the summer too.
