Yup and Walcott can't get a start I can't help but think Theos lack of game time has NOTHING to do with form or fitness.
Fixtures catching up to the team and we ran on fumes near the end. Important thing is we stole the 3 points and now and International Break to recuperate.
****e performance but still 3 points. Saved by some good defending from the CB's and 2 solid goals by Giroud.
Welbeck also needs to start actually scoring goals in the league, he has been piss poor on that front.
Welbeck does a lot of hard work for the team both defensively and attacking. He hasn't gotten too many goals recently, but remember he's mostly played out wide. And Theo might score a few more, but he is completely anonymous most games. I think the last game he started, he had about 10 touches all game.
Are we buying attackers to score, or to work hard only? Sanchez works hard and scores, has 19 goals, in his first season of English football. So this talk of oh he works hard so....Doesn't cut it, that's why we fail to reach the top, too many of us have become accustomed to not good enough or make excuses for average. Welbeck's scoring record in the league is dogshit, not to mention he had a great chance in the first half with the whole goal to aim at but he hit so wide the ball is still traveling.
Had we played Walcott today at 2-1 that'd had been a bad move. We already have the goals covered and in the 2nd half we couldn't afford any passengers. And as much as I like Theo lately unless he scores he's been a passenger.
My God, that really was one of the worst second half performances I've seen from this Arsenal side. No idea how we won that game, but we have so at least that's 14 wins out of the last 16 and we've won 6 in the league on the bounce. We were very ****ing fortunate though. Jesus.
All British players too.....Something that's happened over this season is you've seen how the foreign players have progressed over the English-British, Bellerin-Chambers, Monreal-Gibbs.
