Not wanting to sound like a knob but would you both be as keen on the Longsdon runners if you didn't have a horse with him? I think he's too honest with his runners and the yard seem to be very streaky. It's a stable that needs to be firing to be confident they'll win a race. I think he over rates his animals just a little bit so places them too competitively. They're also over bet quite a lot and under priced. For instance, i know you lot fancied Bob Tucker yesterday but he was best priced 4/1 throughout the day. That was a horrible price.
Absolutely no bet banner today at Newbury. Not looked elsewhere. However, at Newbury I hope to see how No bad News runs in the 16.20, purely to see if there are any signs of ability for the future. Also, in the last, I hope Village Vic can win, purely because he sports the Wycombe colours
Two problems Bob. One Charlie is far too straight and far too honest and two, someone in the yard leaks all the inside info which gets picked up by a gambling syndicate and bookies! I have hardly tipped any Longsdon runners this season but when I have they are pretty near the mark. I was told Bob Tucker would win yesterday but my own view was more circumspect which was why it didn't get put on here! Even if you get info you still have to dissect and evaluate!
Afternoon troops.great couple of days sport ahead so decided to have a few punts across the board. Lil rockerfella has sound ew chances in the 3.45 @newbury, decent price 15/2. Ireland need to put in a decent score here so johnny sexton needs to step up to the plate.im taking pp price 11/2 for sexton as man of the match. Sunderland are absolutely hopeless atd mo and even though west ham are not exactly firing on all cylinders im taking west ham -1 at 9/4
Plaudits to Barry Geraghty for pushing Spartan Angel all the way up the straight after her winning chance had gone. I'm sure I'm not the only punter who was on e/w and now owes him a drink.
Talking of bumpers....I've had a punt on Black Sam in the last at Bangor. The Newbury bumper he contested on debut looks like a strong form line, and at 7/1 could be a good e/way bet? Thoughts Stick?
Yeah nice sort and I wouldn't want to be putting you off. I do know though that the Wadham yard like their horse who is a three parts relation to Baby Shine.
Highlight of today's racing that was for me, seeing the old boy Carruthers win at Newbury! Great ride!
Sometimes NH racing really warms the heart. The Bradstocks getting another one with old Carruthers, marvellous stuff! Have to admit I love to see small stables winning the big ones.
Cheers Stick, got me dosh down, but will have a saver and a f/c. wouldn't be the first time I'd be owing you a pint....more like a few hogsheads now!
Travelled really well into the race but found nothing when push came to shove. Step up in trip didn't suit after all.
Was out shopping and got back too late to back this. Glad too, as I would have been gutted - caught in the shadow of the post when looking the certain winner with 50 yards to run. Inexperience cost him today but that was a cracking debut. Looks like a horse with a future
Jaysus Davy Russell's had better days.. Breaks his leg and arm in a fall at Gowran after losing the Lord Windermere ride. Think Culloty's bang out of order there, the horse won a shocking Gold Cup and was found out this year so laughable to blame Davy really... Wishing him a quick and sound recovery.
