Over recent weeks there seems to be a change of emphasis at the Valley, we have brought in players with Championship experience (Johnson & Eagles) we are playing people in their correct positions and we have dropped the continental (tippy tappy) style of play for something more pragmatic. http://addickschampionshipdiary.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/cest-katrien-qui-parle.html It seems Bromley Addicks had a good meeting with the Kat and gone are the days of "you will just have to accept the owners decisions" and in comes more conciliatory comments of "the owner wishes to move the re-development of Sparrows Lane forward quickly" and "yes, the aim is to gain Premiership football" Perhaps it would have been good if 'The Owner' had given the OS an interview regarding his aims for the Club while he was over this week but .... hey ho..... I'm sure the Club's PR advisors know better than me. Anyway, at this rate (if things keep improving on the Club's management front) I may consider a season ticket again this summer. The Witch may have changed her broom stick, but she has still got an ugly goblin rammed right up her backside. #Reams
Great to see a2c , hope his Krohns disease is now under control and his career as a beachcomber is flourishing in these tough times....
I'm wavering over the ST as well. Will you be back in Upper North, AHLL? Can you really live without that walk down Floyd Road? It appears that Roland's Euro-scouts, much praised by Richard Murray, have been rumbled, and responsibility has gone back to Phil Chapple. Roland obviously realised he made a big error appointing Bob, so it may be that he's not trying to interfere in the football side of things so much now, although I suspect he may have had something to do with LePoint getting what will probably be his one and only start for us. If we have a storming finish Roly might be persuaded to keep our best players and push for promotion next season. On the other hand..................................................................
http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/tv-shows/sportswomen/9774212/charltons-leading-lady did anyone see this? i now have major reservations.... not happy at all. 3 mins 35... god save us, she's a lefty.
How is what she said 'lefty'? Quite a good feature, worth a watch although it obviously doesn't really tell us whether she's any good at her job. Interesting comments from JJ seem to suggest she is though. I did find her clapping off putting, as did the fan next to her evidently.
She is good at her job. I know woman can't park properly and take off their jumpers funnily, but we do seem to have a CEO that might actually be interesting. I actually like her. I can't wait for the day tho when a player tries to slip her one. Will she bat it off or end up marrying him like Karen Brady?
She's getting even more media attention: http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...on-fans-but-i-love-leading-role-10131362.html Whilst she may be a good Chief Executive and passionate (from videos and interviews), I think it's Duchâtelet decisions made above her head, that's going to be her downfall. I'm still not convinced by his network and maybe she's right, we're going to have to wait 3 - 4 years before we see his plan pay off.
So, I just read an interview with KM where she discusses the train incident mentioning how she was scared and threatened by drunk supporters. I don't doubt she felt threatened, but I thought she painted a different picture to what happened. Or also doesn't make for a great headline for the club "katrien Meier: I've had freighting abuse from Charlton fans" it reads.
