I would agree with that, De Gea has been awesome.
They are going to face a heck of a fight on their hands to keep hold of him this summer, especially if they dont get into the CL.
Saying that though, they will be able to get £40m+ for him if Real are the buyers.

If we were to spend big on one player (lets say in the 40-50m bracket rather than 'silly' money; who would you like to see us go for?

Pogba is an obvious one and I can see why people would mention him. I think 40-50 is a realistic price for him and he could slot in nicely next to Matic if we were inclined to push Cesc forward. We'd then have more cover in centre and more options at 10.

Probably not gettable due to size of contract and Madrid not wanting to lose face, but what about cheeky Bale bid? He's struggled a bit out there this year, fans been on his back and Madrid might be inclined to cash in like they have with Di Maria and Ozil to fund their next round of big names. De Gea and Reus have been mentioned of late for instance. They over paid for him and may not want to take a big hit but just musing :)

A return to London for the lad in a league he knows and is proven in. Bale left midfield and Hazard at 10 could be pretty awesome! Fabregas would remain in central midfield primarily which worked perfectly fine for the first half of the season and gives us brilliant attacking options.

I know that I will castigated by supporters of every other premier league team, but providing you win the league I think the Football Writers POY award will go to Terry, I obviously don't watch you every week, but in a season without a real stand out performer, has there been a more consistent player? Except possibly Ivanovic. PFA award I think that you will dominate the nominations too with Hazard probably winning this.

Had a couple of dodgy games recentky. The one Chelsea player who has been consistently excellent is Hazard

He's just like Fabregas really though isn't he?

Good player of course but not sure he'd add that much other than options.

That kind of ironic to be honest.
Its bought in to try hinder us, and in point of fact, its actually not affected us all that much at all.
Made us a little more sensible in the transfer market I guess, but thats a good thing.

Can't you see why Londons Only 'bangs' on about FFP?

It's because of us and other new money clubs it was brought in and so far it's not hurt us at all. That's something to celebrate. 2 fingers up to Uefa and their attempts to have the status quo protected forever.

Can`t you see that it was brought in to protect clubs like Chelsea, not hurt them. It has now made you self sufficiant so if Roman pulls out/goes broke the club can carry on, 5 years ago you would have been in deep ****.

Correct, clubs like Portsmouth and Leeds pointed the way but when others failed to take notice action had to be taken <ok>

You guys just don't get it do you? Roman has built a dynasty at Chelsea and when Roman dies or loses interest (unlikely) his son will carry on and hopefully his son too. I know the old dinosaurs like United, Liverpool & Arsenal hated Roman for making Chelsea a tip top team as they were sure they would have it all for ever but in Chelsea and City you have serious competition which quite frankly you don't like.

We are here too stay my friend get used to it we are going nowhere!

    But Oz.

When Roman leaves Chelsea will be finished. He will get bored.

Ok he is still here, but FFP will Mean Chelsea won't win trophies anymore. They are **** and only buy success

Ok, FFP did not get them, but sanctions over Ukraine will, then we will all be alright, and the status quo will be preserved.

Phew, I felt really threatened for a while.

How dare other clubs try to win trophies. It is not on

See, that`s what i am saying FFP is your friend. Forget Roman and his son, you are now self sustaining and can/will go on without them.

Or the glazers pull the plug. Now the trophies have started to dry up and they've had to spend 100's of millions just to try and get Thursday night football. The manager clearly a wrong un for the prem will lead them to 4th & 5th places for the duration then lets see the sponsors drift away.
