knowing we are not mathematically down yet and their are still enough games and points available but in all honesty I had us down weeks ago. I admit this is only my gut feeling and don't want to be doom and gloom merchant but I can see us being out of the top flight for at least 5-8 years with a good chance of even further relegation in this period which are my choices. Therefore I was wondering what others are thinking and how long they think a spell out of the top flight will take? This is my first poll and have given you a chioce to select two to cover the possibilty of further relegation, I hope it works.
Disappointed that there is not box that says "We're not going down". Would be interesting to see how many ultra optimists we still have on the board. Otherwise it all depends on what is happening behind the scenes. It could be any of those scenarios. Too many variables.
Palace excepted - the other performances suggest to me at least we haven't given up unlike last time. We have to still believe and go for it - we did it in 2012 with a much harder run.

It is still doable, 2 wins on the bounce and things will look an awful lot rosier........so until we need 4 points from the Leicester game there is still hope. Failing that between 1 and 3 years in the Championship......
It's no inbetween imo. Either we bounce up pretty quick with Fernandes or he bails and we could be stuck in the **** for quite some time.
Id actually be more surprised if they didn't. It's human instinct to look for articles about what you do and seek reaction. Playing football and cricket at local level it was still good to have a read of reviews and comments on performance. I can well imagine they'd dip into some form of media to gauge fans feeling. I'm sticking to the not given up camp for now. A natural low after a loss but now I'm dreaming of a 3 win run and get what we can from the scum!
I have to do a gas bill style conversion. I reckon it'll take ( 49 managers at 3 acceptable losses per gaffer + 25 games won in a promotion season ) x a mundane form coefficient of 2.5 = 430 games or 9.96 seasons. Probably the same for Leagues 2, 1 and the Championship. Add in 3.6 years for WW3, 1 year for the great flood and 10 years for the Extra-terrestrial incident. Plus the implosion of Sky, the implosion of the sky and the evolution of the superfluous third nipple. I reckon we'll be "where we belong" by 2734 AD give or take 3 months for a margin of error.
I don't think we have a hope in hell of avoiding the drop this season. When we do go down, I don't think TF will be throwing money at it this time round so it's going to be a long haul back. In addition, we don't know what will happen regarding the FFP rules.
I've gone for the we will beat relegation but only because i wont accept it until it happens, but in reality i think were heading for a period of uncertainty

I would prefer we don't go down. But if we do I hope we go about rebuild a proper team. I would hope we will be a bit more patient this time. We might be lucky like when we got Niel Warnock in but really lets just build a team that will go from strength to strength. When we go up again i would want us to be in a position that we only need to bring in a few players to keep us up. None of this mass buy in **** that has continuously let us down.
Nice to read different points of view and I am probably not so surprised on the "ultra optimist" I even count bouncing back as ultra optimist! I also wondered if the players or managers were reading this and secretly hoping they are because when faced with this type of reality, albeit with a stack of unknown variables, maybe the penny would drop and somehow a thread like this could help our plight; I know that is wishful thinking, hey but we can only dream.
For all we know we may have posters who are players. They can speak their mind without getting in trouble with the club or FA.
