This is the problem with people who forget about religions

Sure the rest of the world hates them but to assume 700 mil love them is wrong. Most are prob Buddhist who don't hate anyone

REVEALED: Why I turned down the Liverpool job - Everton boss Roberto Martinez
ROBERTO MARTINEZ turned down the Liverpool job in 2011 because it wasn't the right time

Roberto Martinez has explained why he turned down Liverpool [GETTY]
Martinez was offered the Anfield role after Liverpool sacked Kenny Dalglish.

But the Spaniard, who was then in charge of Wigan, gave the advance the cold shoulder.

Everton boss Martinez said: "Things in life happen for a reason and it was well documented that summer.
"It was a time of trying to find out what was next from my point of view and Wigan Athletic at that time.

Brendan Rodgers has helped Liverpool to second in the table [GETTY]
“Everything ended up that it wasn't the right time or the right move”

    Roberto Martinez
"Everything ended up that it wasn't the right time or the right move.

"I always believe everything in football and life happens for a reason and I am extremely proud and honoured to be manager of Everton."

Liverpool opted to move for Brendan Rodgers, who has brought a new brand of passing football to Anfield.
Clever decision by Fenway Sports to move for Brendan Rodgers.<ok>

He was only interviewed for the job and never offered it, claiming he knocked us back endears him to the blueshite which was his game plan.

No way Kenwright will sack him at this point imo. As long as we're safe in the league he'll write this one off as "second season syndrome".

He'll only come under real pressure in we're struggling come next Autumn

  15. I don't think he will be sacked before the season is over but he must be under serious threat of going in the summer, he needs to pull something out the bag in the remaining games. Bit like he used to with Wigan; aka the great escape.

I doubt it......I think he should be, and should be made to justify what he's delivered this season and give the board some re-assurance as to what is going to change moving forwards. But I don't think Bill will can him, he'll get at least a third of next season to prove that he can re-find the performance level of his first season. Personally, I don't think he will and next season will see him canned and us left in a state of flux.

I'd at least give him a chance to fill the gaps and see what's what

Barry was a bad buy as he's gone fat and old but was good loan

LukAku all joking aside is good when he bothers

But the defence is not right and more pace is needed wide

They will probably be a lot better next year but he certainly needs to watch his back.

Another bad run next year and he will be under severe pressure.

He will ride this I would have thought.

it will be easier next year without europa. They can build up again.

If they retain Coleman and Barkley then they have a chance.

We are still bizarrely talking about a team with Baines, Coleman, Barkley, lukaku.... And have Lennon, McCarthy and stones. Jagielka and Barry are done and Howard might or might not come back to form

This is a top half side all day
