Wow, the joke might be a little bit funny if Vettel had twitter.

In other news the Force India really was a rush job. Both drivers front wings fell apart in the race!

If Rosberg was really that smart he would know he doesn't use twitter or facebook so posting it on there doesn't really notify him of anything or put the ball in his favour like he thinks.

Be epic if Vettel's first post to Rosberg was: 'insert epic Arnie quote here' and then never use that account again...

Hamilton is going about his business quietly and Rosberg should be doing the same instead of trying to make enemies. He has enough pressure already so why try to put more on himself. Vettel is not his rival right now so he should be more trying to rattle Hamilton his team mate. You can tell that sort of thing doesn't come naturally to him so he comes across awkward. Vettel has nothing to lose so I don't know why Rosberg took on Vettel at the press conference. Right now he would be better off trying to find Hamilton's secret to saving fuel and tyres. In the race he was asking his race engineer how was Hamilton on fuel although he knows that was against the rules. I think he was still given a clue... If you listen carefully you hear when the engineer said he couldn't give the info but he thinks it is plus. Seems like Hamilton has been working on putting his sector laps together for qualifying which was Rosberg's strong point last year so Rosberg if you want to give fans a show like you said... Stop trying to throw talk at other racers and deal with understanding how your team mate is thrashing you.

Sadly his desperation reeks so badly he's aimed for winner and is coming across as a wiener instead.....

Still think its far too early to say Mercedes have extended their lead as these facts are flawed.

#1 Rosberg was coasting last year because he set his fastest lap early on in lap 19. Magnussen was fighting Ricciardo for 2nd and 3rd with Button coming up fast.

#2 Where as this year they must have been close to full power *especially Rosberg* as both were fighting for the win. Vettel was stuck and slowed down behind Massa and seemed content to settle for 3rd after he made the over cut.

The most obvious sign of their true 2014 pace at the start was when they pulled 20+ seconds in 10 laps at Bahrain, that's almost 2 minutes over 58 laps to 3rd place.

Just 34 seconds is clearly a massive gain by Ferrari.

You really Hamilton was really pushing that hard? If he was how come when Rosberg got within 1.5 seconds he could easily pull it back out to 3 seconds with ease. I didn't get the impression he was really pushing that car.

Hamilton was nowhere near coasting as much as Rosberg was last year. How much more could Lewis actually pull a lap towards the end? 0.1-0.3 ? I suppose it just depends on your perspective on the duel.

For me it seemed like Hamilton got his fuel saving off and done early and then he just used that little bit of extra fuel to cover Rosberg until the end to seal the deal, yet not really being able to go any faster as he checkmated him already with fuel consumption and thus nullifying the fight.

Having a 1.5 sec gap in my opinion is not a comfortable situation to be in for any driver. One mistake in a sector and Rosberg would have been on his gearbox so I would've assumed Lewis would've preferred the gap being bigger if he could really do it.

I guess the only person who really knows how much faster he could have gone against Rosberg is Lewis himself. But for me an 8 second gap is much more comfortable and easier to handle than a 1.5 one.

Personally, I think it's too early to try to draw conclusions about relative performance and whether gaps have been narrowed but, so far, Mercedes have played their cards close and it would make sense not to give away any more of their performance advantage than they need to. There was no need to pull an 8-second gap, so why do it?

The other thing to remember is that they only have 4 engines per season. So the less stress you can put on an engine the longer it will last. So my guess is that Merc will only do what is necessary to be in front. God knows how much extra power they actually have, it's scary how much better Merc have done over the rest.

Where is all this Rosberg bashing coming from? Probably most on here are Brits and Hamilton fans, but to seriously write off Rosberg after just a single race is crazy. Sure he had a brain fade at the after race chat, but to portray that offering as the be all and end all when it comes to his chances for the season is silly. He's a seasonded pro with a monster of a car. I think Hamilton will win the driver's title, but Rosberg will take the fight to him and will at times throughout the year, get the better of the Brit.
