You have to admit, that is pretty impressive though.

 

One of the things I hope comes out of this defeat is that we never go into a tie again thinking it will be 'comfortable'.

We have Reading in the FA cup semi final and we need to go into that game in the same way we would if it were Chelsea, Liverpool or City

 

I think that's what Wenger was thinking when he said Monaco didn't deserve to go through. Though he should have chose his words better, the reality is Monaco were EXTREMELY fortunate Arsenal were not more ruthless in Monaco.

If you had an RvP (I do rate Giroud btw) you'd be in the next round.

But in the context of finishing.. Giroud's was as lucky as Hendersons against Swans

Monaco got Juventus, that would have also been the draw we'd want had we beaten Monaco.

 

Yep but having seen Juventus destroy Dortmund so easily, I doubt we would've beat them. We need to improve drastically in Europe if we ever want to get further.
