How about just aiming to win your next game, and the one after that, and so on............. You've been pressure free in your chase of the leading pack up until Swansea last week and you needed the luck of the devil in getting the points. It'll be interesting to see how Rodgers and his team react to the cranking up of the pressure as the games start running out - starting on Sunday. A win puts it in your hands.
Agree with the one game at a time mentality and its the one that I'd adapt. just annoys me when i see players making comments like this. whilst something is mathematically possible, don't rule it out! RE pressure; because of the **** start, I think that pressure as been there for a long time. With been on a fantastic run over the last twenty or so games yet we're still not in the top four and top four is the minimum expectation after last years performance. You're right though, the pressure will grow with each passing game.
Lallana was correct in early season interview with Football Focus. He said that getting top four would be almost impossible for Liverpool this year. It looks more likely than at Xmas, but you will just fall short IMO....maybe something like GD will be the deciding factor
Regardless of the soundbites and salford articles, that is exactly how the team and manager are approaching things I guarantee you, only with future fixture congenstion and rotation should you be thinking of games down the road.
Pressure free? There is no such thing, there is pressure from everywhere, fans media directors and players for places ect ect. You're kidding right? Rodgers was looking at the sack probably based on the first half of that season. It was all because of no pressure we picked up so many points? poor even by your standards. Also, luck of the devil? OG and Off Side are luckier than deflection, deflection scores at least a goal a week in the PL. Besides you make your own luck, No pressure Then why are your lot not playing well, you languished lower mid table for long enough to feel no pressure.
Of course there's constant pressure, but everything is relative and there's a distinct difference between winning games in mid season and winning them at the 'business end', hence experience of winning titles, constantly finishing in the top 4 etc is so valuable. As each week goes by that pressure builds as you know just one slip up could cost you the end goal........................ p.s. that wasn't just a deflection ffs, it was a tackle from the defender that somehow rebounded off mouth breathers shin at exactly the right angle and trajectory to clear the keeper. It was a one in a million.
Pressure free? We are playing gash in the league....so the pressure is on. Our EL trip has allowed us to play without fear and beat some very good sides home and away along the way

We might get 4th and the FA Cup or maybe end up with nothing after almost achieving both, better to be in with a shout than not.
EL winners get a trophy and now a Champions League spot aswell. Plus the chance to play in the Super Cup. EL is more than worth having a crack at these days imo.
If we finish four and you guys finish seventh and win EL, you guys will have had the more successful season!
