It's still effectively in our own hands, RBF. Win 8 out of 8 and we'd go up, especially since that would include Boro and they also have to play Bournemouth this weekend. It's possible to construct a scenario where we won all 8 and still didn't go up, but that's so unlikely that we can disregard it. Trouble is, the same is probably true of winning all 8.
Personally, I think 6 wins out of 8 would do it, as long as one of those wins comes against Boro. A tough call, but not impossible. The problem seems to be that we revert to the Neil Adams team from time to time - dominating matches, but profligate up front and sloppy at the back. Forest are back on form - we'll need to be at our best on Saturday.
No team has managed to hang on to the auto spots for any significant amount of time this season. I don't see why anyone would expect that to change right now. As good as Watford's form is right now I still think we'll see some wobbles from them plus Middlesbrough and Bournemouth before May. I've had a gut feel for 2nd since the start of the season... Let's hope i'm right!
I did the threads for the Leeds win but followed with our lowest point, the Middlesborough thrashing. Still a 1.5ppga is better than most! As long as KIO doesn't want it then I say give it to Munky! Bah!
I don't think that we should give up hope, but I also think we need to face the reality of one win in the last four games after six wins in a row. The manager can't do it all. The players have to respond to the challenge and show they want it with performances for the full 90 minutes. This has been the case all season with fluctuations in performance. Forest will either be a new beginning or our lot will be very difficult indeed. Let's hope it's the former.
Spot on RER and from the reports of the Huddersfield game, yet again, defensive lapses have cost us points!!!
He didn't score an 'own goal' on Saturday either - he was being held by Hendrick, so couldn't possibly get 2 hands on the ball!!!!
