Tbf Ronaldo has done more in a decent portugal side than Messi has in a decent argie one. Having said that, Messi is genius.

Remind me what Portugal have achieved during Ronaldo's time I've forgotten? Is this the Portugal that failed to get out of the group in Brazil and got pipped by the USA? <laugh>

How stupid do you look when you try and just pass the ball down the middle on a penalty and the keeper just stands still and palms it out <laugh>

Atletico v Leverkusen 1-1 on pens after 2 efforts each.

Because they have a bunch of weak-minded players, have a frail mentality and are physically fragile. #handlewithcare

Giroud has scored 15 goals + has 5 assists in 20 starts. I've been a fierce critic of him for the past two seasons, but he's been very good this season, even though he's been injured for a large chunk of it. Unfortunately Welbeck isn't very good and Sanchez is out of form.

Do you actually read what people write??? Or have a history of football beyond the last 12 months? Read my post again carefully and look back through his international career ffs.

I know the numbers are there for Giroud, but if I need a goalscorer in a game like tonight, he wouldn't be it. Sanchez on the other hand is absolute quality. His strength and ability to hold onto possession, turn players and work the ball in tight spaces is excellent. I'm surprised you don't play him up front.

I find it at least somewhat gratifying that there's no oh brave arsenal ****e going round. Until we get off that crap and see failure as failure we cannot progress

They can only perform when the game is already lost and there's nothing expected of them

Ronaldo: 52 goals in 118 appearances (0.44 goals per game); runner-up Euro 2004 (in Portugal), third in Euro 2012.
Messi: 45 goals in 96 games (0.47 goals per game); runner-up Copa America 2007, runner-up World Cup 2014

Fairly similar to be honest. Messi slightly more, but then Argentina were probably slightly better than Portugal in that period. Messi is also a couple of years younger.

    Conclusion: Both good players. <ok>

  15. I'd like City to win anyway. If they win they'll continue to be distracted from the PL :)
