    Off the Chronicle website.

    http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...-he-won-t-give-up-goals-fight-72703-28056649/

Certainly doesn't sound like he has much of an attitude problem here. Lets hope that was all paper mumbo jumbo!

Nile is a really exciting player, i hope he can keep progressing and keep getting some premiership minutes under his belt. I cant stop feeling that him and Andy are the future, despite some of his misses!

To the doubters, writing him off after fleeting looks and 1 poor miss (v west ham) and 1 very nearly beauty of a goal :emoticon-0173-middl

If I'm being honest hes got a lot more about him in his general play then Shola and Best and the hapless Lovenkrands.... he just needs to sort out his composure in front of goal and he could be the perfect partner for Carroll, if it were up to me he would be getting a lot more game time, I think its shocking that Best has played nearly every minute just because he scored a hat trick against the bottom side. Since then hes been nothing short of dire.

Is it just me or was the Linesman going to flag offside for it anyway?? Well I thought that anyways.

Still shouldn't have missed it tho.

If he sorts out his finishing, which he hopefully will in the coming years we might have a top player on our hands.

Yeah, that's good to hear. Once he gets a goal I think he'll push on.

He needs to work on his passing and his finishing. Everything else , he can do.

I've always had time for Ranger...but we (I definately did anyway) said this last season. Then he bagged a couple and that was it :/

Hope he sorts it out, great watching him play.

Well, yeah but getting the Premier League goal hoodo off his back is vital.

I know that but the thing is it was in the Champ when he scored a couple and died off, not the Prem. Probably down to not playing as many games as he could have tbh.

Still, I could have finished his missed opportunities for free! Alot more concentration and commitment from him would probably see him improve more and more each game. Pardew is doin the right thing not playin him, if he misses goals and shola scores, regardless of how much they work, the right thing to do would be to play shola!

Probably doesn't help with some of the sitters he's missed lately! Must think he will never score!

If he just relaxes a little bit on the pitch he'll score the goals.

He seems to be one of those players who if given too much time to think; screw it wide or over the bar.

    It'll come soon.

dont fully understand the hype over nile. It reminds me of shola, he has had potential for 10 years now.
People say he needs to work on his finishing.. erm.. if your a striker there are alot of areas of your game that should need work.. finishing should not be one if them.
He is one player who I can remember more misses than goals for. How many has he scored in competetive matches? 3? back post tap ins agains cov & chelsea? Im sorry but i dont see where the hype comes from just yet. If he can improve given match time I would not want it to be in our team, he is dreadful in front of goal so if he is going to improve it needs to be on loan somewhere else!
For all that he is useless I think Leon has more natural ability than the little fiddy. No chance would he be on the pitch ahead of peter. We need 3 new strikers, nile should be no where near a PL squad yet.

Nile's looked dangerous when he's come on as a sub so far in the league, and been a real problem for the opposition's defence except when pulling the trigger. He's shown he can bang them in albeit at youth and reserve level, just under the glare of the premier league cameras he seems to choke infront of goal. I can't be the only one who remembers his excellent hold up play last season when he got a few games either, the amount of times he put in teammates for excellent chances. Once (if) everything falls into place for the lad, we could have a real top player on our hands.
