Thanks to our English bottlers, we could have no sides in the QFs this season.

Chelsea, City and in particular Arsenal and Liverpool disgraced us in Europe.

And Monaco, who would be the bottom half of the table at best, are in the Quarters. Rumours are that they cheered when they drew an English club because they know they had a chance.

They are terrible, as we saw last night, only managing 32 goals all season in a weak Ligue 1, losing to the likes of FC Lorient and Avant Guincamp this year.

They must be the worst side to reach quarters for a while, worse than United 14 or Liverpool 05 even <whistle>

The Routemasters FC are the biggest bottlers this year, more was expected, buy they let us all down.

Liverpool, Arsenal and ££££ are not expected to do well in Europe

True, we led the tie three times and bottled it; Jose said so himself.

“Clearly some of my players couldn’t cope with that pressure. The individual performances were not good enough. When you concede twice from two corners, it’s about a lack of concentration, a lack of responsibility to cope....".

Mertesackr admitted it for Arsenal V Monaco too: “We know that first leg we weren’t really up for it mentally,” the German defender said. “From the start you could feel that and, at times, we could feel that there was a bit of a pressure and we couldn’t cope with that.”

But I have created a thread on the Routemaster board for this: Why are English clubs bottlers? Feel free to post there <ok>

Wow, they have some odd pub names over there.

Arsenal, glorious in defeat as always.

Both Arsenal & Chelsea got exactly what they deserved. Chelsea for timidly trying to defend an away goal advantage at their own ground. And Arsenal for being too arrogant and complacent to take Monaco seriously until it was too late.

    Agree.

But you are wrong, it was Monaco who were arrogant, saying they had a bye when they drew the failure specialists <laugh>

The 'clearance' by Layvin Kurzawa to Ramsey for the second goal was the worst in CL history
