http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31940379 Sunderland to review Adam Johnson suspension Sunderland are to review their suspension of midfielder Adam Johnson. The 27-year-old England international had his bail extended following his arrest on suspicion of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. In a statement, Sunderland said: "Following the police decision, the club will be reviewing its position." The decision comes a day after the club appointed former Rangers and Netherlands boss Dick Advocaat as their manager until the end of the season. Former Manchester City winger Johnson was arrested on 2 March and questioned at a police station close to his County Durham home. He was immediately suspended by the club and has not played for Sunderland since. Speaking after his arrest, sacked Sunderland manager Gus Poyet described the day as one of the most difficult in his career. Johnson is due to report back to police at 10:00 GMT on Thursday 23 April while the investigation continues. I hope this means what I think it means. That the club are sure beyond a shadow of doubt that AJ is innocent, that the charges won't come and that he gets back on the pitch as soon as possible. I hope all of this gives the lad a scare and get's him to sort out his "alledged" routine of drinking. Fingers crossed the best is yet to come from AJ.
Starting to look that way like http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/mar/17/sunderland-adam-johnson-suspension

Me thinks the club has a meeting with his solicitor or have had one. The club are now surely in the loop on the specifics of the case or about to. Looking like there's no case to answer to imo.
like I said on the thread, "team for west ham" chuck him in the team!! He has to play sooner or later if the lad is innocent?
I think it'll probably come down to proving AJ knew her age. It isn't easy. A couple of years ago, I was sitting on a bus at a terminus. A young woman got on, and she was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I think every man on that bus had his tongue hanging out over her. She really was spectacular. She stepped forward and asked the driver : "Can I have a half to x, please?" A half fare! To be frank, if I'd met that woman in a pub or other social venue, dolled up to the eyes, on a Saturday night, it would never have even occurred to me to ask her age. She was every inch 21 - 23 age group. So I'll be keeping an open mind about Andy over this case. It's not simple.
It's probably going to turn out that he didn't realise he true age and that there isn't a case to answer.
I think it's going to come down to whether he actually shagged her or not.
And it's wrong. But so was naming him and they broke their necks to do that. ****s man, but nowt suprises me with them. They're willing to be sued knowing it's covered comfortably by newspaper sales and website hits.
I think it's going to come down to whether he actually shagged her or not.
Could be that he didn't of course - fair point. She might just be digging for gold.
Could be that he didn't of course - fair point. She might just be digging for gold.
We've all got that one mate who can't stop bullshitting. Every time they open their mouth it's a lie to big them selves up. I know a few male and female. They're sound one to one but in a group they just can't help themselves. I think she's one of them. People treat Facebook like their own little bubble world when it's quite the opposite. I think she's bullshitted fueled by her obsession with him and the whole thing has bit her on the arse, and now she's backing her self into a corner whilst digging herself into a whole. I think she may just be a daft little girl with problems. Just mindless speculation like, but in my defense i've been in loads of trouble with the law and yet to see the inside of a court room, all at the hands of this police force and I feel I can tell when an investigation is going cold. Could be completely wrong but I don't think I am.
Looks like Smug may have called this one right. Kudos to the club if they put him back in the squad on Saturday. He ain't half gonna get some **** though!
why would you have a burger when you have a steak at home ,no evidence that his partner has left him which speaks volumes IMO
