If that little delusion makes you happy then you carry on. I'd quite like to talk about football, but you keep talking **** and then blubbing when I rip it apart. Do yourself a favour and stop making yourself look like a prick, talk about football instead <ok>

  2. You could ignore me, PESKIE, rather than continue (and fail) to wum me.

Give that a try, and see the difference it makes.

If you didn't talk **** in the first place, then I wouldn't need to rip it apart.

Give that a try and see the difference it makes <ok>

Okay, back on topic. Sunderland, as I said, look in real trouble. Poyet must be favourite for the sack, but will Sunderland do it ? It could simply condemn them to the Championship and it's still possible that Poyet could save them due to the three below them. That said, they will be ****ting themselves that Burnley are beating City currently.

  6. Some good points, PESKIE.

The thing is, though, will the Sunderland board have the courage to ignore the deafening clamour of the fans?

Who knows ? they might buckle. Sometimes Chairmen go with the theory that a new manager will save the day and sack the current one before it's too late. But that can often backfire as it can take time for a new manager to settle and get his players playing the way he wants them to. I think they are in trouble, and Burnley winning today has just ramped up the pressure big time.

  8. Villa winning looked to have put some distance from relegation for them until Burnley won. Sunderland are looking in trouble now mind, only question is, are the three below them capable of getting enough points to see them fall?

I think that Burnley have got a shot at escaping, but the other two are in deep ****.
Leicester had a big chance today against a ten man team in poor form and they blew it. Could've really pulled Hull into it, too.
QPR just don't seem to be able to pick up any points, only having one real goalscorer and a leaky defence.

  10. Not the biggest fan of Leicester or QPR but would like to see Sunderland and Villa (purely because I don't like Lerner) go down.

Not just Hull, Everton are only on 28pts too <yikes> (no, that's not me being biased as a Liverpool fan, I like to see Everton do well. I want them to win the EL)

It's unbelievable how far Everton have fallen this season. Martinez was hailed as the next big thing last season, but it goes to show that it takes more than one Swallow to make a Summer. I don't think they will get relegated, Leicester, QPR and one of Burnley, Sunderland and Villa are worse, so I think Everton will be safe.

  12. I think Everton's demise is clear evidence for how difficult it is to find any consistency in the Prem. That's one of the reasons I respected Fergie - loathe or love him, there was absolutely no doubting that he was the primary stabilizing influence at United. And Whinger - as much I have pointed out his faults - it cannot be denied that he has been a stabilizing influence at Arsenal during a period that could have been very embarrassing and costly for them.

Will Gaal or Pelligrini show that kind of consistency? It looks doubtful at the moment.

Apart from Whinger, I think the only manager who can claim any kind of consistency is The Smug One.

The thing with Mourinho though is that he's always had a huge wad of cash to spend his way out of trouble. His track record at most clubs though is that he jumps ship as soon as the heat is turned up. Alan Sugar summed him up perfectly when he said :
'I'd like to see how bloody special he is down at Leyton Orient !'

  14. Agreed. <ok>

I don't tend to be too hard on Jose as you do, PISKIE, because I do think there is a place for managers like him who can walk into a rich club and practically guarantee them instant success.

The referees have 'fixed' results against SAFC this season by about 25% remember, who would be about 10 points better off now. Name a single match where they have had a plus decision !

Jose won a CLs at Porto and Inter on budgets smaller than Arsene's and Arsenal's for transfers and wages

Mr Sugar and Piskie should have done their research. He was very special at Uniao de leiria.

Taking a club smaller than Orient into a CL spot in Portugal ahead of Porto and Benfica in months.

Jose is a specialist in success and could coach my kids' school team to victory or even change Arsenal's losing mentality.

Shame that Chelsea squad needed nearly £1bn spending on it then before they won anything significant.

Relatively Uniao de leiria were not smaller than Orient. Orient are struggling in the 3rd tier, Uniao de leiria were top division before and after Mourinho. They are now the size of Orient cause they went bankrupt long after Mourinho left. He had 1 decent season there and then left before it all fell apart - a pattern he has repeated since.
