Aye that is what I meant.
And Monaco should play the way I said precisely because Arsenal need to score early, they need to kill the tempo.
Arsenal will likely try to sprint outta the box.

Soon to read ....... Arsenal & City have never won the Champions League.

    Ashley Cole has.

So Arsenal put in the good performance too late once again and when the pressure is off....and are out.

    City's turn tonight.

It is easy to show bottle when you've nothing to lose.

Monaco are probably the worst side I have seen in the last 16 for a long time let alone to make the quarters. They are barely fourth in Ligue 1 and would be 15th in the Prem at best.

Ironic thing is, their captain and chairman cheered when they drew Arsenal cos they knew they had a chance.

I love the fact they got so close to give them a glimmer of hope only for their dreams to be shattered yet again. It's quite therapeutic to witness Gooner pain. :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

They were like flies round 5hite on here when PSG knocked us out but when I returned the compliment on their board last night , hey presto the delete button was on overdrive. VVankers to a man the admin on there.

Fact of the day - even Spurs have reached more European cup 1/4 finals than Arsenal in the last 5 years. :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

It is actually scary how bad it went for the Premier League this year. Can't be long until Arsenal are scraping for a top 3 trophy...

Been that way for a while. Our heroics in Europe in the previous 3 years (winning 2 trophies and making a semi final) clouded over the fact the P.L has struggled badly in Europe for a while.

    Not sure why

Hmm I would've expected the Gooners and ourselves to go through against average french opposition at least City can claim they were beaten by a top side whereas our demise was courtesy of Hackney Marsh Sunday morning defending (at least those guys were half cut from the night before)
