There's no denying we've been on an excellent run of form when you look at our results in isolation. However it is the same old story in the Champions League and it is extremely disappointing and infuriating to go out to a side that we know we are better than.

It is. It's ****ing gutting, because we threw this tie away in the first leg. But we gave a really good account of ourselves tonight, so even though we went out, I don't buy this lack of leaders rubbish.

I don't think that the lack of leaders was the problem tonight, but I would like us to have a bit more steel in midfield. Coquelin has been excellent, but someone like Kondogbia, although he wasn't as good in the second leg, would help us a lot more. Still not sure as to whether we need another striker.
I think the first leg when we went all out trying to get that second goal was very naive. I can see why the players did it and to be honest I was at home urging them to go for it, but ultimately that's what cost us. Coq has done brilliantly since he's come into the team, but a player like Kondogbia would be a really good addition to our midfield. We could play somebody like Coq and Kondogbia / Schnederlin / Bender together in some games if needed. But as sure as eggs are eggs, we can't rely on Coq for a whole season, we need another DM.
What's to argue about? I have only said we're not good enough, it sucks to be out again and this stage, 5 years running, there are no excuses, we should be doing better, including beating top European sides if we claim to be elite. You agree, so where exactly am I wallowing or trying to argue? Not really, after we lost VS Spurs I said I thought we were unlucky. Tonight however, it's just not good enough again in Europe, knocked out for the 5th time consecutively in the last 16. There's a nice consistent stat for you, Wenger loves those stats.
