Don't mind Arsenal. Would be nice to have an English team still in the CL if they can get off to a quick start this half.

City (and Chavs/United) can get stuffed any time they play though <ok>

Possibly the worst clearance in CL history allows Arsenal to get within a goal of going through!

    All over.

Arsenal yet again win in the 2nd leg but just by not quite enough. If I was going to put money on any result, Arsenal 2-0 win would have been the one. It's just so like them... always the bridesmaid.

Watch the press cream over how brave and well they performed when they should have won this tie about 5-0 on aggregate.

  7. Only just seen this. I didn't look into it, I just saw a advert. I'd guess at a bit of both; the 7-1 would be agg but the money back on tonight's game only

  8. True but can't help but think they didn't walk off the pitch with nothing left in the tank

It was football suicide from Monaco. They played most of the game like they needed to score. Playing at tempo, bombing forward, every player taking on 2 or 3 arsenal players instead of playing the early pass. As a result continually giving away possession instead of slowing the game down, holding possession and making arsenal chase the ball. Arsenal couldnt have wished for better. Shame they dont have a decent goalscorer up front.

Monaco are bang average, the question is not whether Arsenal or Monaco are better, it's not how well did Arsenal do in Monaco.

The question is how the **** did that rabble of misfits go to the Emirates and score 3 <yikes> How bad Arsenal must have been.

Could have been 4 5 6 nil to Arsenal tonight.
You can see with PSG and Monaco that they are used to playing against a lot of ****e in France.

  11. Not all teams can defend and sit on a lead. I think Liverpool would have attached still despite being 3-1 up too because we're much better going on the attack

Yeh we saw how that went <whistle>

Heard lots about how this monaco side hadnt conceded x goals in god knows how many months.
It's not so much their defending, it was their decision making and general tactics. Passes that werent on, trying to play in tight spaces, taking on 2 arsenal players for no reason.

I thought PSG played some wonderful football in both legs tbf. The quality of their passing and movement was silk at times. Impressive imo.

I didn't mean their quality, the pace of their game is what I meant, PSG are excellent retaining the ball and moving it around, good to watch they are actually, taught hte chavs a bit of a lesson.

PSG can trudge forward at a crawl and pick their way through most French teams I'd imagine

I'm just commenting on the game and the pundits prematch bollox about their defence. After arsenal's 2nd I wanted Monaco to go out.

Monaco haven't lost at home all season. 90% plus of those games were against French sides. That means you have two or three tough games at home, CL ties and PSG visiting. Even Leicester can manage to not lose a tough game or two at home and they are rock bottom.

It's not like ahh they had an off night.. they were absolutely awful. Poor technically and not able to handle PL pace. Poor Arsenal finishing did as much as Monaco in getting monaco through<laugh>

    They are gone next round.

I'd like City to win tomorrow, just to see Matth go into meltdown.

UIR will just use it as proof Messi can't do it in the big games, and what has he done with Argentina.
Cos Ronaldo has won everything with Portugal right?<whistle>
