Just a quick one, and never mind them lot and their manager issues, theyll only sack him next year anyway we might as well forget the whole affair. They might as well pin a calender up in the dressing room with "play atrocious, ****ty football" written in each days specific box and then replace it every year for all the good their managers are.

Anyway, no doubt it was discussed at length but who was everyones choice for our next manager? I know there was some speculation on a few "exciting" foreign managers like tuchel and de boer, but i fear bringing in someone unproven in this league more than anything (may be a naive view but i struggle to think of people who could work under these conditions.) Who would even come anyway?

Id take McClaren in an instant tbh. Anyone remember how good his derby results were, lol?

Of course my methods aren't legal. That's how I know we'll win.

I would take McLaren but I think if Derby go up he will stay with them. I also think its getting harder to get a decent manager as they are probably starting to notice the lack of ambition at the club. I think we are stuck with players who want to use us a stepping stone and managers who are out of work for a good reason.

Of everyone, the tenuous rumours around Rudi Garcia are the most appealing. Would be a real statement of intent. Second to that, I'd be delighted with McLaren, he's a very experienced and competent individual, and constantly evolves. Disclaimer is De Boer would, I think, be a unanimously happy decision, but simply won't happen.

I'd happily give time to any number of others, Galtier, Garde, Tuchel, etc.

That said, it's going to take a sea change of monumental proportions to see any of the above appointed, and then given the resources necessary to succeed.

He would then probably get him to change his first names to Sports Direct.

I put myself in the frame to rival Ban Ban, we could have a sort of School President campaign. I even have a list of policies

    - Williamson will play every game
    - Goufrann will play every game
    - I will praise the regime
    - I wont take cups seriously and will entice players with holidays during the weeks of the later cup stages
    - I will be grateful for having the role and talk about how im a Geordie
    - I will wear a Sports Direct branded suit on the touch lines
    - I will say the words sports and Direct in every sentence when broadcasted

Vote me! I will ensure every Derby is lost! I will ensure mid table mediocrity! I will headbutt any player I am asked to! I will accept sh!te wages mainly influenced on where we finish in the league - I AM MR Newcastle!

Given there's only one vote you're pitching for, you should be fine.

Novel idea, though - stick a load of realistic candidates on a website, season ticket holders only can vote, winner becomes manager. Simples.

I'm not sure if anyone else has picked up on the irony relating to appointing McLaren.

If McLaren is successful, i.e. he gets promotion with Derby, he won't be coming to us.

If McLaren is unsuccessful,i.e. he fails to get promotion with Derby, then he will likely come to us.

Anyone else prefer to appoint someone who is a "winner" as opposed to a loser?
