With both teams looking to get Champions League football next season this fixture has some extra bite (not that it needs it), a loss will hurt more than usual for either team and the fans. United played well in the last match and have shown that they can produce good attacking football, something that has been missing under LVG, With the attacking talent they have Liverpool will need to take that threat seriously. Key men other than man will be the defence as they have looked vulnerable at times this season and Liverpool will look to exploit that. Liverpool are currently the form side in the Premier League but that will count for nothing if they lose this, a poor start to the season has meant that they have been playing catch up. Key man is Daniel Sturridge who at the point of Liverpool attacks keeps defences pushed back and busy and enables the midfield and Coutinho to control games. http://www.lfconline.com/head_to_head/liverpool/vs/manchester_united/index.shtml The Liverpool F.C.–Manchester United F.C. rivalry is a footballing rivalry between English clubs Liverpool and Manchester United. It is considered to be one of the biggest rivalry matches in Europe. The clubs are also the two most successful teams in England; between them they have won 121 honours, including 80 major trophies: 59 (41 major) for Liverpool and 62 (39 major) for Manchester United. As well as competing on the football pitch, both teams are also two of the biggest-earning, and widely-supported, football clubs in the world.
Had a bet at the beginning of the season on United to finish above Liverpool. That was before I realised what a pile of **** Van Gaal is and it now looks in jeopardy.
Where are we with history? Is it the last game? Last season? The season before maybe? anything since then is forgotten.
But, to be fair, Luvvy, I also have an impeccable record for my impartiality, as you will have observed from my varous "Mouser Watch" threads.
But the refs won't know who to give decisions against as Sunderland aren't involved. Refs hate Sunderland you know.
I reckon the ref will split the honours, playing for 'Pool in the first half and United in the second.
That wasn't very funny when you tried it on the Liverpool earlier today either I see you've added dice to the list now though after someone put that accusation ball in your direction
Gotta be a bit daft to accuse us of diving with the amount of players and the amount of times you lot dive, that Januanuz fella will dive if through on goal, Rooney booked recently for it, Young is one of the worlds best/worst offenders.
