sounds excellent news to me. he's going to resubmit the same shoddy and underwhelming application to a body that has already said it's rubbish and he expects more than a sixth of the council to change its mind in his favour? i suspect the margin of defeat will be wider next time round.

Of course. He knows the parameters now. It can be total bullshit but if he can show he can get funding from a name change they cant say no. Plus he'll have incentivised the panel. Big business eh
He has to get a majority of supporters to say yes in a ballot as well. But first he has to accept the panel's decision which he hasn't done as he's claiming the application should be heard "as is". He didn't get a majority when he threatened to leave so I doubt he'll get one now.
