Never heard of them until 9 months ago but my missus always went on about them. Then I found out they were playing in Germany around the time of her 40th birthday last year so I thought I'd treat her to a weekend away. And to my surprise I was totally blown away by the best live band I have EVER seen. Spent all my time ever since getting all their albums on Ebay and travelling to Ireland to see them again. They're an Irish rock band that have been going for decades, but if you ever get the chance go and see... please log in to view this image
They're on Spotify, listen to the live album first "Made in Dublin". You can get that album for pennies on Ebay as it was given away free in an Irish newspaper a few years ago (although I got the real one coz I love it so much !)
Please don't use that. We don't use 'wee' or 'tae' so don't use our words. It's bad enough with lads from Sussex saying 'owt'.
"Army of Anyone" anyone?

"bh ****s to morrisey" Get it right, it's "Morrissey" and secondly, it's Johnny Marr I have a tug over
MC5 are an underrated band in terms of how many bands are heavily influenced by them but never mention them...
Obvious bands that were massively under-rated at their time but recognised now: Velvet Underground MC5 Stooges New York Dolls Without those 4 - no punk, no indie. Yet none of them were particularly commercially successful. After that, The Ramones - one of the most copied 'sounds' ever, yet they were commercial flops. Less successful than half the **** punk bands that ripped them off and as for Green Day On a personal level, I reckon the Afghan Whigs are incredibly underrated. The best band of the late 80s/90s by some distance imo. Yet most people haven't even heard of them. Same goes for Twilight Singers, the new incarnation of Whigs' front man Greg Dulli. And Mark Lanegan - best singer of the last 20 years, pops up on all kinds of brilliant albums.
