Surely's he's the hypocrite for saying the supporters are irrelevant and yet doing a ballot of them.

In Happy's eyes Allam can do no wrong, he's the messiah.

But of course, in reality, in near enough everyone else's eyes, he's just a very naughty boy.

I don't know, but I suspect the FA were happy to leave the announcement as long as the Allam's wanted, but they will have got a fair number of emails from individuals asking what was going on. They then would have had to consider the consequences of sitting on the outcome.

They got a lot of stick for keeping it secret from the fans but not Allam. I think they realised the fans deserved to know as soon as Allam knew.

Its about time ALL the local media grew a pair, stood up to Allam, and did a piece on him based on proper investigative journalism, but they wont because they are $hit scared of him !!! The HDM wouldn't know what to do with all them blank pages if he cut off their supply. This is not just about the name change fiasco, the list goes on eg Airco Arena, his management of SMC, his treatment of Adam Pearson ( in respect of Hull FC) Whilst I freely admit Allams loans undoubtedly not only possibly saved the club, but put them where they are today, but at what price ? The man is at best a loose cannon and at worst an egotistical tinpot dictator who will stop at nothing to get his own way.

There is a way round any kind of banning order for daring to question him. Any reporter can pay on the gate (assuming it's not sold out) or indeed watch on a feed and report and then get their quotes from every other media source who cover the presser. There's no reason in this day and age of instantly accessible coverage to be running scared of a ban for reporters.

It actually said it would be impractical and wholly inappropriate to direct the FA to make a fresh decision to take effect during the current season

I imagine he will now argue that means they should make a fresh decision to take effect next season, although as has been said the evidence makes it clear what the FA expect (compelling business case and a proper vote by fans). No doubt he will argue that those things are not written in the FA policy, and he wasnt told about them either and so they need to make a decision ignoring those two requirements

The fact that Ehab stated he wanted the FA to make a decision "without fans views" is interesting given that the fans views are one of the things the FA policy says they must consider.

Right, I don't know if anyone's already answered this question but if we're relegated how will that affect the name change application?

The panel accepted that those two conditions are fair and reasonable and the decision would have been upheld if Malcolm had declared his interest at the committee meeting. To make a new application the Allams have to accept the relief given by the panel ie the decision made and the reasons.

The old application would be considered against the tests set and, if the FA applied the logic of the panel, would have no legal alternative but to throw it out.

A successful application needs a business plan and majority agreement from the supporters.

I am always surprised that with the volume of evidence to the contrary so many people have faith that the FA can get anything right.

I will be very surprised if they manage to get the name chance through, if they did I will stop going until it is reinstated. I started watching and supporting Hull City AFC in 1958 and will finish watching and supporting them.

He can argue what he wants, but the FA don't have to listen any more. They've been through the process with him. He wants to be able to question everything and do it his way as always but it's either he re-applies and makes a fool of himself going back on his word or he leaves it as it is. I think we all know which is more likely.

Given it was rejected a year ago, yet we still rarely see our proper name used, I wonder how much effect this arbitration decision will have in day to day terms.

    **** all.

1 904 tigers will continue to strut about the KC stadium whilst it's hypocritical fans drink in the tigers lair pre match and the name 'Hull City A.F.C.' remains a fact existent only in memory and we watch a selection of dates playing the enemies.

    Good news.

Just find us a decent buyer, 'Doctor', and let us go back to being Hull City.
