Sack your manager. And appoint his replacement the very next day. The alternative is for your chairman to fly around the world, tweeting about having interviewed his 'dream manager' and generally making a muppet of himself while his team continues to flounder. It's called having a plan B and executing it sharpish.

Advocaat looks like a dreadful appointment IMO. If we'd given him a job people would be up in arms

I imagine that this has been on the cards for several weeks and is not the instant fix that you think it is.

TF may well have had a similar plan ... and then Harry spoilt it by jumping ship too early!

Not really sure how you can say 'that's how you do it' when they haven't played a game under him, he could take them down without another point all season!

Well it was clearly going pear shaped under Poyet. While we've been going pear shaped for months. Just refreshing to see a bit of positive action. Much like the appointments of Pulis, Pardew and Sherwood which all seem to have worked wonders. Meanwhile, we drift and drift...

He couldn't be worse than Ramsey.

I don't think Ramsey has done too much wrong. We've lost three home games by a single goal against three good sides and really deserved two-four points from them. At Hull we lost to a dreadful side due to the stupidity of Barton. Maybe he can be partially blamed for Palace but I don't think there was much else he could have done with that team. Wright-Phillips hung Furlong out to dry against an excellent winger and the defence all played like complete tarts.

Agree. In all fairness, I don't think any manager coming in could keep the squad we've got in the Premier League. I'd just like to have seen a permanent manager being appointed so the rebuilding can start now. Ramsey knows if we go down, he ain't getting the job so we're going to have to wait until the summer for a new boss to come in and start the last minute panic buying all over again

"That's how you do it"? A bit late, in my opinion: when you've already sunk into the mire and all the serious managerial talent has been snapped up weeks ago.
