What I find interesting is the focus on how the club said (for their application) that the views of the fans were insignificant and this element has caused the usual tarts to start crying.

It's interesting because those same tarts are even more dismissive of any fans views who don't agree with them. It goes way past any alleged contempt the owners have for fans.

You should be ashamed of yourselves as you wallow in this mass hypocrisy but I suspect you'll be blaming the owners for you acting this way. It's never your fault is it?

We're not all plastics like you who can soften the loss by watching our ****ing second teams on telly every week.

What's actually going on then? Does the saga continue? I've not followed this thread, it moved too fast to keep up with.

Has Ol' Senile had his public outburst yet?

Plastic is an interesting turn of phrase for, after 30 years unwavering support - including the competitive game with the lowest ever attendance - choosing to boycott games because the actions of our owners threaten the very existence of the football club I support.

You support two ****ing clubs for Christ sake. It doesn't matter how long you've been going. Are the Hull whites who decided to support Leeds 30 years ago no longer plastic?

It's good to see that our local media have finally got off the fence.

Burnsy and Phil Buckingham have both just been on RH saying this divisive and pointless application should be binned and we should all move on.

His appeal to have the decision reversed failed. He will have to apply again to change the name if he wants to.

He promised not to do that back in September. It's over until he decides to go back on his word.

Hilariously the club have celebrated victory and claimed to have proved the FA decision was "unfair and bias" which is both factually and grammatically bullshit.

If he re applies he'll fail again, but it'll be another few months of this nonsense.

In a way you're right, sadly there are only a few with the ball or guts to give up watching the team they have supported through thick and thin, and why should they? The Man Utd saga with the Glazers was similar, a few gave up and formed FCMU or whatever they called the new team a few wore the green and yellow as a protest sign ( not so many now ) but most just carried on going just the same. If you or others boycott, i'm sorry to say that only you will be the losers. Cardiff had an easier protest, just turn up to the game in blue and yet plenty bought the red shirt and wore it.

This reply is better suited to your earlier post. But i'm sure you know what i mean.

    That analogy is completely preposterous:
I support another team in another country who have NEVER played against Hull City.
I've been to probably 850 more Hull City games than I have Inter games.
I supported Hull City when they were at the lowest point in their entire history.
I have never missed a Hull City home game to go to an Inter game.
So in conclusion, how is that in any way comparable to someone who choose to support a team 65 miles away cos they were doing well and City were ****e?
And none of this has got anything to do with taking action against our owner's name change campaign, you're just trying desperately and pathetically to discredit me and you keep lining Allam's pockets and then whingeing on a messageboard.

I can understand why you don't want to give the man another penny of your money but I would ask you to reconsider. We are Hull City until he puts in another application. The panel's judgment means he has to show a majority of supporters (realistically season ticket holders) support the name change. If you have a pass you have a vote. For me that is the crux of the judgment, it is in our hands to stop any name change.

I haven't given him a penny more of my money than the cost of the pass. Unless he says its over he'll not get a penny more next season either.

It wasn't an appeal. It was a basically an investigation into the process by which the FA reached their decision.

The club is now waiting for the FA to inform them if the original application to change the name still stands or of a new application is needed.

Until that happens nothing more can be said or done.....

They'll be waiting a long time, since the FA has already said it requires a new application. Allam wants to dictate to the FA but the process has been exhausted and completed, they don't have to entertain his nonsense any further. He can re apply as he promised not to and that's it.

The panel said it would be 'impractical and wholly inappropriate' to expect council to re-assess the original application.

If he carries on with the application my two passes will not be renewed. Over eighty years supporting City between us will end. Going to a football match is more than the quality of football on show, we haven't enjoyed much of the last two seasons and even the fulfillment of a long sought after Wembley dream was tarnished by the whole mess. My time and money are very precious, I'm not going to waste either on something that I don't enjoy and to someone I have grown to despise.

If he wants to apply for next season, he'll need to do the vote in the next two weeks, so it's only current season ticket holders who'll get to vote.

If he puts in an application before 1 April he'll need a convincing business plan and a ballot result. He could try and organise a fair ballot within two weeks but I doubt it. The panel's decision has set the hoops he must jump through to get the name changed. I would say they are set quite high and open to challenge by any supporters group who feel cheated out of their name.

However nothing the man does surprises me anymore.

Any ballot would need to be carried out "under the auspices of the FA" so there's no chance it could be organized inside two weeks.

So did the FA say why they wouldn't suspend this announcement for longer like Allam wanted? They held it off for a while and must have discussed what to do.

We can live with another few months of this nonsense, it's water off a ducks back now. I'm interested in what HCC are up to behind the scenes.
