Not really. The club itself has said it has accepted the verdict that was unanimously in their favour, and the indication is that a name change attempt will be made in time for next season.

I really think people need to go read the PDF the FA issued with the statement.

It's quite damning on the club and the way it's treat the fans.

Aye, it's the first thing I did before passing comment.

It's not exactly a light read, but it might just prevent some people making themselves look stupid.

Was a very interesting read I must say, just finished reading the whole thing. I think it's a bit remarkable the entire judgement is being set aside based on one member's position that the fan's opinion is vital. Surely a council member is entitled to place weight on that factor above others?

The tribunal concluded that he didn't just place weight in the fans' views, he considered it was the only determining factor. Thus putting him in conflict with the policy that the FA agreed at the start.

It is a minor technicality. The fact remains that the business case was asked for and not provided, and the views of season ticket holders were gathered in a manner that was poor, unimpressive and unconvincing. If City rely on that same allocation to resubmit their plans, they will surely have it rejected. Again.

Para 95 of the arbitration doesn't state whether the existing application can be reconsidered ready for next season, it merely says that a reapplication is possible. Whether the existing application is considered again "as is" is presumably a matter for the FA.

What I find remarkable and worrying is that despite a piss poor application as outlined in the fa report, 27 still voted in favour of the name change, how many more would have voted yes with a half decent business plan etc.

I tend to disagree. The panel wasn't prepared to instruct the FA to hear the original application, presumably because it did not make out the case for the change of name. Given the only reason for the ruling was that Malcolm Clark didn't declare an interest at the membership meeting the FA would be expected to make the same ruling again. If it didn't it would be "perverse" (a legal term) and open to challenge from supporters, either through the panel or the courts. Which is why they said the club could make a new application, which would cover the business case and the views of supporters.

I've not read the previous 12 pages so sorry if this has been covered but I can probably guess the content of many posts as people unleash their vitriol on their keyboards. Do you really think the Fake Dr gives two hoots about someone sat at their laptop or Smartphone expressing their dissatisfaction with his actions? There's only one thing that will make him sit up and pay attention and that's voting with your pockets. If you disagree with his ridiculous campaign then DON'T but a season ticket for next season, DON'T buy individual matchday tickets for the rest of this season and if you've already got you season ticket for the remainder of this season then DON'T buy anything on a matchday, be it a programme, merchandise, food or anything at the stadium whatsoever. It is the only action he will take notice of, simple as.

Now cue a load of responses about 'hurting the team' or 'why should I miss out on watching cos of him?'. Either do something that he'll actually pay attention to or shut the **** up about it. HE DOESN'T CARE about any media statements or however many hundreds of posts made on a ****ing messageboard. And if we do this and he makes his claims about matchday revenue not being that significant, do you really think his idea of a prospective fan in the far east will choose to support a Hull Tigers so obviously playing in an empty stadium every other week? Nobody wants to be associated with that club. And as for hurting the team, time has come for drastic action. if we get relegated then so be it, a season or several of lower division football is a small price to pay to maintain over a century of integrity.

It's time to either put up or shut up.

If he re-applies he has to hold a fair poll to show majority support for Hull Tigers. We remain Hull City next season so I'll buy a pass to guarantee a vote, if he holds one.

I haven't bought a thing from the club since his announcement before Andy Dawson's testimonial.

This whole sorry business would now be concluded if a small group with a loud voice had not been permitted to exert a disproportionate influence on proceedings.

According to Allam's ballot the small group is roughly the same number who want him to stay.

I can see the 2015/16 accounts now.

"The number of seaon ticket holders in the current financial year was 58, down 17,200 on the previous season."

"100% of season ticket holders voted in favour of the name change."

Another person who hasn't read the report.

Unsurprisingly, another one of the pro-name changers.
